I hear Stern might cut costs and skip Jaws, paying to license Jaws III instead. Louis Gossett, Jr., Bess Armstrong, Dennis Quaid and Lea Thompson. I’m not as excited about this one.

I am 100% out of room but if they release jaws I will make room somewhere. Even if it means I have to sell IMDN.
Quoted from yancy:My sources tell me Spooky will beat them to market with a Sharknado pin.
I would buy that before a Jaws Quicksilver re-theme.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:And when Tron was new there was no „Vault Edition“, or „Premium“ or anything.
I can assure you that before Tron came out 400 people paid a down payment on a pinball machine they had never even seen. We were asked to do that to secure a Tron LE before anyone had even played a Tron Pro. Although the term “pro” had yet to be introduced into the Stern Pinball lexicon. It was called a Tron LE, but as you can tell from the label, internally it was considered a premium. Even though that term had yet to be used as a level of Stern Pinball hierarchy.

Quoted from DBLM:Is this speculation on your part of have you heard something? I had not thought of a Jaws retheme but that could be interesting
Quicksilver make over like Beatles. No not jaws themed. No not speculation.

Stern where playing around with Limited Editions/Premiums for years, LOTR, Spider-Man Black, didn’t Elvis have a limited edition version? Tron, Avatar was still Stern dipping its toes in the collectors pool. Transformers was a big push from Stern to move into the collectors tiers.
I could be wrong but it wasn’t until Stern hired John Buscaglia and he brought his knowledge and experience from the trading card business and TOPPS that the Pro/Premium/LE tiers where an official thing and they targeted the collectors market big time!

There is an Elvis at my local pub cant remember what the trim level is called thought it was limited, it has the brass trim instead of black texture
Quoted from JonCBrand:There is an Elvis at my local pub cant remember what the trim level is called thought it was limited, it has the brass trim instead of black texture
The limited edition Elvis was called the gold addition. I considered buying one when I bought my Elvis back in 2004, but it didn’t seem to have any extras beyond just the gold trim. And I liked the look of the black trim better. 16 years later, I still have the game and love it.
Quoted from John1210:Quicksilver make over like Beatles. No not jaws themed. No not speculation.
After The Beatles, Stern would be crazy to try that again. Pro, premium and LE or BM66 and 3lvira works the best for them.
Suckers for licence pins like Heavy Metal could eat up some of that old inventory.
Maybe some snack food needs prizes.
Like Camel cash, pepsi points.

Going back to Monopoly. Platinum Edition, pretty much started it..
Quoted from PinballAlley:I want a pinball based on the old Saturday morning show the Banana Splits!
Because people will need some reference material.. and, no, you ain't getting this! Lol

Hey, why not a Monkees pin?
I think they were on either before or after Banana Splits on Saturday mornings.
( I know it aint happenin' but it would be a "Pleasant Valley Sunday" ... if it did.)
Quoted from PinballAlley:I want a pinball based on the old Saturday morning show the Banana Splits!
...or even better, last year's Banana Splits horror film.
Quoted from cloggedDrain:I really want to see a Haunted Mansion pin!
Agreed. A Disney Haunted Mansion pin based on the ride. Ready to pre-order!
So what would make Stern some big money if a brand new game was to come out next year? That's what will drive this, certainly not all the cool and not so cool ideas we've been posting here.
And it should be a game they (Stern) has been working on, say, for the last year and a half or so (since mid 2019). Design, coding, production lines, contracts, etc. These things need to be planned..
Quoted from crazypinballguy:Hey, why not a Monkees pin?
I could go for that. They could just re-theme the Beatles pin in keeping with the pre-fab four theme...
Quoted from Kkoss24:Here’s your new pin !!! Definitely will be one of the next 2 .
[quoted image][quoted image]
Greatest thing about Wonder Woman is that Stern can claim to have the playfield packed with invisible airplane toys!
So what are peoples’ guesses for when we will end speculation and the next new cornerstone for 2020 will be announced? I’m thinking that Sept. 15th is right. Pros in late Sept., LEs in October and Premiums in Nov.
Quoted from Kkoss24:Here’s your new pin !!! Definitely will be one of the next 2 .

It gets my vote! Makes sense, 2017 was a record year for Wonder Woman when the movie came out. They would have thought about it from that moment on, which brings us to now (delays due to pandemic).
Wonder Woman PRO and LE
Then Wonder Woman 84 Premium
LE would have electroluminescent whip along the ramps..
Quoted from PinBalt:So what are peoples’ guesses for when we will end speculation and the next new cornerstone for 2020 will be announced? I’m thinking that Sept. 15th is right. Pros in late Sept., LEs in October and Premiums in Nov.
I bet everything's delayed due to backorders due to the pandemic. they have a lot of hits that are probably still all selling very well.
Quoted from PinballAlley:I want a pinball based on the old Saturday morning show the Banana Splits!
Better idea is another theme with the same song!!
Quoted from cait001:I bet everything's delayed due to backorders due to the pandemic. they have a lot of hits that are probably still all selling very well.
The pandemic has not stopped Stern. I think they are following their plan and could have contractural obligations to release games on certain dates.
I do agree, they have some great games at the moment.

I think that is a pretty good guess. Any idea on what you think is coming out?
Quoted from pinballaddicted:I think that is a pretty good guess. Any idea on what you think is coming out?
A lot of speculation has been that Jaws would be the 2020 cornerstone game.
I have on good authority its going to be pornhub, the pin. Custom callouts, choose your own adventure style missions. Its gonna be Yuge!
Quoted from Phat_Jay:I have on good authority its going to be pornhub, the pin. Custom callouts, choose your own adventure style missions. Its gonna be Yuge!
Would give "multiball" and "shooter rod" a whole new meaning.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:Greatest thing about Wonder Woman is that Stern can claim to have the playfield packed with invisible airplane toys!
Keep seeing Jack Danger posting about Power Ranger, specifically Mighty Morphin era, is this a hint of some sort or is this his next homebrew?
Quoted from GTO:Would give "multiball" and "shooter rod" a whole new meaning.
And shaker motors!
Quoted from cloggedDrain:I really want to see a Haunted Mansion pin!
Get an EHOH... ?
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Wonder Woman PRO and LE

LE would have electroluminescent whip along the ramps..
Its a lasso:p

Fuck , I hope not
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:A lot of speculation has been that Jaws would be the 2020 cornerstone game.
I don't get all the Jaws talk . Christopher Franchi said they passed on Jaws and he showed his artwork . If they were going to do it , he wouldn't have said anything .
IMG_20200825_214925 (resized).jpgOn closer inspection Jaws must be a female , she's wearing lipstick
Joking aside , Franchi is an amazing artist .
Quoted from BazilBLast:I don't get all the Jaws talk . Christopher Franchi said they passed on Jaws and he showed his artwork . If they were going to do it , he wouldn't have said anything .

Maybe now after he left they will?
Could be tricky license with it being very limited..

I know a lot of people don’t like Kaneda, and I’ve never listened to his podcast, but I hear he’s been fairly accurate predicting Stern’s upcoming releases. He said Jaws is coming. Since he said that a lot of Pinsiders have been claiming to have heard the same thing from other sources. Could just be wishful thinking, I suppose. I personally hope it happens. Jaws is my grail theme.
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:I know a lot of people don’t like Kaneda, and I’ve never listened to his podcast, but I hear he’s been fairly accurate predicting Stern’s upcoming releases.
He is a worthless tool with no scruples and only cares about being first. He hopes the information is true and has no concern for releasing confidential information. He is simply used by leakers, so lets not confuse him with someone who we should care what they say. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. There is no magic in his "predicting". Every distributor in the country and their close confidants know the next 2-3 games with certainty at any given time. They at least have the integrity not to leak the information and know that telling that ass clown is the same as leaking.

Lol, don't mince words, what do you REALLY think about the guy? Lol

I've read a lot of comments like yours regarding Kaneda. You may be right. I can't say because, as I already stated, I've never listened to him and know very little about him. I am in no way defending him. I'm just responding to someone asking why all the Jaws talk.

He is whiney and pessimistic but i dont know anyone in the industry so i appreciate the leaked info so he was tolerable in small doses. Pinball doesnt need to be some men in black secret shit. Rumours are fun if you know they are just that with occasional accuracy. Its the people that take things verbatim that get all butt hurt hen the rumour to out to be false.
I loved Kanedas 80s music spring 2018 mix though. It was a go to playlists
