Spooky pinball a Code name for Scooby Doo Haunted House?
I've always assumed it was a Scooby Doo pin. Hopefully it really is.

Quoted from DS_Nadine:Funny Thing is, they all have Sonic doing random Stuff in the Display...
At leat Sonic did surf and pose with his spikes as a shark in my Baywatch.
I really, really, really would dig Stern making a Sonic game now that the new movie comes into theaters.
Make a Playfield with a lot of loops and go for it!
Heck, Sonic himself was INSPIRED by pinball.
This would be good. The pinballs would have to be blue-colored as well. Just imagine the possibilities!
Quoted from ultimategameroom:I agree and hope Stern or Spooky release it. It better not be another stripped down the pinball company machine release like the Jetsons ![quoted image][quoted image]
Blotter sheets
The reason behind many of my odd traits
I suspect
I watched all the episodes of Stranger Things....time I’ll never get back...
Started well then went down hill rapidly from there......
Got incredibly silly when the Russians got involved.
Script writer must have had a few late nights smoking spliffs, completely lost the plot. You could tell he ran out of ideas..
I reckon we could do with a good Spag Western Pin:-
Come to think about it, I don't believe I have ever seen ANYONE mention a Slenderman pin. The post above mine made me realize the only modern day bad guy (not Marvel or DC) within the last ~5 years is slenderman? How long has it been since a bad guy specific pin had been made anyway?
Quoted from screaminr:It has a very Steven Spielberg feel to it . A bit like , ET , Goonies, Stand By Me , kids in an adventure but dealing with the supernatural .
I ignored it for a long time but after hearing alot of good things about it here on pinside finally gave it a go . The wife was sceptical at first but we watched the first episode and then one more and then another , we were hooked . It's set in the 80s and has a great soundtrack if you like the above movies I highly recommend giving it a try .
Exact same thing with me. Heard good things about it and had some people tell me personally I would love it. Most TV shows don't really interest me so blew it off. Kids started talking about it and we finally gave it a go. We were instantly hooked and stayed up late watching extra episodes. I can't think of another modern theme that is popular among different ages. Adults are into it and so are the kids. My kids were almost bullied for not watching it sooner. Much better theme than some old movie or dinosaur band. Pokemon has some popularity with different ages but that sounds like a horrible pin imo. That stuff is better off in the video game world. I would love, love a Mad Max pin but I know that is a long shot. Less appeal but could be soo good.
Gen X likes the 80s nostalgia of Stranger Things.
Millenials are obsessed with the 80s.
Kids also love Stranger Things because it features kids who are an active part of the story and drive the plot.
Triple win!
Pokémon pin would make STUPID MONEY on location. Especially if they could somehow make the ball look like a Pokeball.
Sadly too much of the pin market is now home driven so the themes that would make the most sense for location don't get made.
Quoted from V8haha:Any idea when we will hear about the next release?
~ Announcement dates and/or start of clubs
BatMan66- 8/29/2016
Aerosmith 1/4/2017 (128 days after BM66)
Star Wars 5/31/2017 (147 days after Aerosmith)
Guardians of the Galaxy 11/2/2017 (156 days after Star Wars)
Iron Maiden 3/25/2018 (144 days after Guardians of the Galaxy)
Dead Pool 8/3/2018 (131 days after Iron Maiden)
Beatles 10/29/2018 (87 days after Dead Pool)
Primus 11/23/2018 (25 days after Beatles)
Munsters 1/12/2019 (50 days after Deadpool Primus) (203 days after Deadpool) (75 days after Beatles)
Black Knight SOR 3/25/2019 (72 days after Munsters)
Star Wars “The Pin” 7/18/2019 (115 days after Black Knight)
Jurassic Park 7/26/2019 (7 days after Star Wars the Pin) (122 days after BK SOR)
Elvira 9/16/2019 (52 days after Jurassic Park)
Star Wars Comic Book Edition 10/4/2019 (18 days after Elvira)
So using fuzzy math and time between releases since Batman66 at Stern, you come up with a release date of between 12 December and 24 January. This depends on whether or not you count Primus, Star Wars the Pin, Re-Skinned Star Wars, Elvira, and/or Beatles as full releases.
I don't think they have time to announce a game and have machines to clients before the Holidays, so I am guessing they won't announce anything until January so as not to cannibalize sales. This would put the most likely announcement/release between 3 and 24 January, with most likely release date on the 10th or 17th of January.

Agree - Stranger Things makes a lot of sense to me. But I also don't expect to see it this year. Maybe next year on/or around Season 4?

Hey Mr. Messeks, get Stern to make a Rick and Morty pinball machine.
Screenshot_20191125-161718_Google (resized).jpgQuoted from V8haha:Any idea when we will hear about the next release?
it should be CES in January 4th or 5th.
Quoted from PinMonk:Cool, but that could just be another The Pinball Company Jetsons atrocity.
There wasnt any company listed, could very well be any company, maker, rights holder, CN, rando corporate entity, tangentially pinball related, not even pin related, etc. It would actually strike me as odd if it were a theme that Stern would produce.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Hey Mr. Messeks, get Stern to make a Rick and Morty pinball machine.[quoted image]
I think if you're gonna go with a "current" theme that in theory appeals to "young folks" to some degree, it might be hard to swing a Rick and Morty for Stern... you gotta go with a Pokemon, which at least spans a few different generations, whereas Rick and Morty hasn't permeated the world as much yet.
Quoted from wlf_:whereas Rick and Morty hasn't permeated the world as much yet.
Ask McDonalds if they agree with that...they underestimated R&M and paid the price.

Yes because free sauce and 7K pinball machines are ostensibly the same.

Your original post was about awareness in "the world" for Rick and Morty. The McDonalds fiasco proved there's plenty of awareness, and fans with stupid money at their disposal. The screened sauce packets still go for over $100 for a 1oz packet.

Better sell now
CGC is remaking sauce packets
The pessimist in me assumes it’s a video game Rick and Morty pinball and not a real machine.
But the thing about pessimism is you’re constantly proven right, or pleasantly surprised. Would be a solid location theme.
Quoted from Whysnow:Whatever happened to the Led Zeppelin realign of quicksilver rumor?
Just guesses in the general community, but the consensus seems to be Q1 2020 for the Stern Led Zeppelin machine.
It was apparently going to be a Zeppelin reskin of QS as of late summer 2019 but that may or may not be the case any more.
Again, these are all guesses - albeit educated ones.
Quoted from Whysnow:Whatever happened to the Led Zeppelin realign of quicksilver rumor?
Supposedly it got pushed back to give it the full pin experience it deserves instead of a lame reskin. I mean, AEROSMITH got a full modern pin (even if it was a very slightly modified KISS). Zeppelin deserves at least that...
Quoted from wlf_:you gotta go with a Pokemon, which at least spans a few different generations, whereas Rick and Morty hasn't permeated the world as much yet.
Rick and Morty is already a global phenomenon. You've been missing out.
Sure Pokemon appeals to a Rick and Morty age bracket as well as the younger kids but we all know the reality of pinball and who is playing. Take a look at the earnings sheets from any modern arcade and you can spot the pinball machines immediately by the lower numbers. Young kids play kiddie casino redemption games. The only reason people on pinside keep insisting kids play pinball is because OUR kids play pinball because they share the same house. I do believe the demographic for pinball have changed from old men to 20+ but the kids still dont care.
Side note, I'm 37. I'd be interested but not crazy about a R&M pin but I'd have zero interest in Pokemon...my 6yr old however would love one.
Zeppelin done like the Beatles is a Fuc$&@g Joke !
Better off having JJP do it !
Don’t disgrace one of the best Rock bands Of all time
Quoted from whitey:Who are Rick n Morty ?
I think they mean Spin and Marty (reaching really far back there for the nostalgia factor).
Agree Led Zep deserves a unique pinball concept/layout.
looking on the flipside........... If priced right some Classic Stern pinball would go down really nice for many enthusiasts.
Many of the Stern classics with some simple enhancements would be a cash cow for Stern Pinball
Next 12 months may be Sterns last chance to cash in on reviving a couple of classics ?
Bottom line.................. if the retail price is right 3 to 4k why not ? Hard work been done, BoM would be less than 1/2 that
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/stern-the-classic-collection-would-you-buy-one.
Perhaps a vote for favorite Stern Classics is in order ?
My 2 favorites
Quiksilver
and
Catacomb
I am not into re-skinning these classic Sterns. I have said it before and I will say it again, Stern please do not waste anymore good themes on re-skins. If people want a Quicksilver-then just re-introduce the classics. No need to re-theme, just remake them and it should make everyone happy. There are not a lot of good themes left(imo) and to capitalize on a good theme with a new innovative design is going to carry them into the next decade. I have zero interest in a Quicksilver Zeppelin.
-I am still waiting for Stern to make me a Mission Impossible pin with tons of hurry-ups and risk vs reward shots. -Make it so Stern!

This is changing rapidly for locations. The Little Flippers, a network of kids pinball leagues and meet-ups is growing quick. We just started last year and now have chapters in three states with four more city/states about to join. It's for 5-12 year olds. 14 year old kids are winning major tournaments consistently now. One of our 8 year olds is competing with a handful of the top 25 players in CA. Our chapter gets 20-30 kids per league meet-up. Maybe 5 of them have pinball machines at their house. I suspect in the next year or two you will see kid themed games starting to gain attention from pinball manufacturers. We have Marco and Stern very much behind what we are doing.

I'm probably in, either way. Personally, Zep are way bigger than the Beatles to me, so this will eventually be in the lineup regardless. I hear ya though; I'd prefer a remake to a reskin.
Speaking of JJP...what are the chances Stern announces the Zeppelin pin about a month before JJP planned on announcing GnR?! .... who am I kidding....about a 150% chance!
Quoted from Sako-TRG:Not Stern but really hoping JJP Guns & Roses is done properly....
Dialed in reskin

DUDE, OMG! lol
Not arguing for nor against a "Stranger Things" pinball game. But a lot of people here are hoping for one. I agree it is a great show but damn if I can figure out what such a pinball would look like and what it's modes and rules might include. Can someone please share their concept(s)? Thanks in advance.

Given that Eric is the designer on that and he hit jjPotC out of the park, I am very optimistic. The visuals are still a concern, though. I don't want Wonka slot machine screen.
