Quoted from Utesichiban:

Great List. The one I would add to the list is the 3rd Indiana Jobes movie: The Last Crusade. Right up there with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Didn't like Temple of Doom, though.

But no Temple means no Short round. So many great call outs.

If 80s movies goonies or:
dvd-and-bluray-dvd-films-science-fiction-willow (resized).jpg915-oRPyaVL._AC_SL1500_ (resized).jpg

But i think Dark crystal or back to the future would be better options for stern.

Nope. No thanks on those two. Dark Crystal has its fans, but I can't see that pin doing well, either.

Im not asking if you want them , im just brainfarting on what 80s thing Stern can cash in on
Dark crystal is getting even more fans, and speaks to more generations since the netflix series started.

I personaly would like to see a He Man, Knightrider or a A team pin.

#5005 35 days ago

He Man will be fantastic. I love Orko, Skelletor, Battle Cat, Man at Arms etc...

Quoted from J85M:

If it really is TMNT I hope it’s a subway extravaganza with a few pop up manhole covers just re-use the FBI pop up mech from xfiles.

It's either that or "Stranger Things", I think they picked up the S-Things license just to piss me off, I had mentioned anyone would do that license justice except them....but if Brian Eddy's is on it then the joke is on them.

PS: Judging by Dirty Donny's S-Things poster that he posted, I have to say he got the art wrong though.

When will the next announcement be made?

I agree as much as his art worked so well for Met and Aerosmith, it doesn’t go quite as well with Stranger Things unfortunately Franchi would have been my choice for stranger things but he’s left Stern now.

Hey Jorro, I like "LEGENDE" looks cool

But if Stern can get Jack Black on board instead of Tim Curry as the beast the game could be insane !

I know Jack Black is a Pinhead and he would easily be a super choice to be involved in something spectacular.

Anyways, Here's hoping

STERN " The Pick of Destiny " Pinball Haha ....... Adult mode at Full volume !

PoD

Check it out

Language warning !!!!!!

Right! The teaser of the poster looked so cool, then when the whole poster was revealed it was really blah.

#5013 35 days ago

Willow would be pretty dope.

Is this zeppelin / quicksilver thing for real?

#5014 35 days ago
Quoted from DS_Nadine:

Yes, because you can't buy that fridges anymore.

The danger from fridges is more because children would close the door and fairly quickly pass out from lack of oxygen/carbon dioxide buildup and die. Not because they were trapped. Fridges are air tight and have small inner volumes. A deadly combination.

That was not the argument relating to the making of the movie.

If we were to not make a movie due to the dangers of children and what they would do because of a movie, then there would be no movies. lol

Yes, I agree, if they had just used the material from the press junker it would have been stellar...Donny however went for a generic 80's thing, with the Camaro and a weird looking Demogorgon as the centerpiece, but I'm still hoping this was just him using his rejected ideas for a teaser.

If Stern can use whoever does the promo artwork for stranger things it will be stunning! Maybe the dirty Donny post was a red herring?

I seriously think Stern have moved away from Dirty Donny's artwork and would produce something more vibrant like the current crop of games. After various leaks and artists speaking their minds on social media, I no longer see pinball artists hinting at future games.

Ha Ha, Don't get me wrong

I love Tim Curry

I thought JB might a a great choice for a pin

But Frank n furter mmmm....... Wild

Stranger Things with a layout like LOTR would be a hot to me.

Stranger Things is top 3 on my list!

#5024 32 days ago

Upside down world mode could be fantastic use of the lighting and lcd display.

#5025 32 days ago

My 15 year-old daughter has all the modes imagined. Wish she worked for Stern!!

#5026 32 days ago

I might also be in on a Stranger Things pin, if it was done well.

#5028 31 days ago

JAWS = Stern code name for Jurassic Park
CURVES = Stern code name for Elvira's House of Horrors
FURRY HAT = Stern code name for Guardians of the Galaxy

Have her list it out. I can’t imagine how this theme could be brought to life.

Sure will. She’s only talked about them all. I keep thinking of LOTR layout.

Didn’t see if this was mentioned before, is stern releasing any new pins before end of the year?

Thanks

*Maybe* the Led Zeppelin Quicksilver retheme?

*Maybe* the Led Zeppelin Quicksilver retheme?

Now that everyone has gone home from Expo, the rumour should be flying now?

#5034 30 days ago

Said it before and I will say it again.

1. Stranger Things
2. Back to the future
3. Miami Vice

An 80's theme, somewhat cheesy but fast. With lots of modern toys.

#5035 30 days ago

My guess is Spongebob

If Stern made a Miami Vice pin...

I'd make a topper out of a bag of powdered sugar

2.2lbs wizard mode

Uzi hurry up

Spell Ferrari to start multiball

Crocodile bash toy under the boat

#5039 30 days ago

No this was a vpin that came out 10 years ago and was horrible. it sold poorly.

For real?

Stern would be stupid not to make Stranger Things.

They've done far too many old man themes this past year. It's time to look forward.

I concur benheck . This could be a great pin.

Older guys (like me) are probably the bulk of people buying machines. But Stranger Things was a fun show! I'm cool with that for a theme.... But would rather have Dune.

#5045 30 days ago

Cheech and Chong - another good old man theme. That one could be a riot.

#5046 30 days ago

Should have been Beetlejuice but Stern turned it down.

#5047 30 days ago

Blade Runner....and I’d buy it sight unseen.

Not gonna happen though

#5048 30 days ago

Old men buy pins for the most part.

Anyone listen to the Kaneda podcast with Chris Franchi. Gary Stern sounds like a real character and not a nice employer. Makes me think if I want to support Stern, especially after the playfield fiasco.
