In terms of artwork and stage toys, Iron Maiden and RUSH concerts already resemble pinball machines.
It would be an easy transition for those two bands.
I guess Pink Floyd stages did too but not every song like Maiden & Rush.

    Anyhoo...
I'd love to see a machine based around Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden or RUSH.

For newer bands, Muse have the most pinball like motif going.

    Quoted from TOK:

Anyone mention Judas Priest? Like Iron Maiden and Motorhead, their longevity and awesome art fit right in with what Stern has already produced.

Plus their stage shows were/are very elaborate and can easily be "pinballified"

    Quoted from o-din:

He actually sprayed up over the audience but that didn't stop the shell casings from flying everywhere. It was a free concert in a small gig put on by a local radio station so I'm not complaining. The stage must have been too small for his Harley. The next night at the civic he rolled out on that and I don't remember if he ever broke out the Tommy gun again.

I was going to say, I've seen Priest quite few times and I don't remember a tommy gun.
But then again my first show was for Painkiller.

    Quoted from Jappie:

My vote would definately go to MUSE.
    Just imagine:
    - Time is Running Out Hurry-Up
    - Madness Multiball
    - Supermassive Black Hole Lower Playfield (Gottlieb style)
    - Knights of Cydonia Wizard Mode
    - Newborn Bash Toy (ok, joking about that one )

Plus they have great videos and stage shows to copy ideas from

    Quoted from Jappie:

Oh hell yes. Very cool videos. And their live performances are the absolute best. Talk about an epic band that's actually relevant right now.

I'm sure this stunt from 2009 could be incorporated into the game somewhere as well :

Ps. 'Uprising' would make a pretty bitchin' playfield ramp too, don'tcha think?

Great stuff. I think The Resistance album cover would look great on a lower playfield with lots of lights.
I've had this "Who would make a great pinball table" conversation with friends a bunch of times.
Muse seems to be the only band we all agree on.
It's important to keep in mind the overall package and not just "Well, so & so in my favorite"
That's why fossil rock & metal come up so often.
When a band clearly puts lots of thought into the artwork & stage show. It makes it easy to picture what a table would be.
