Meagadeth just released a new album. Anthrax is releasing a new album in several weeks. Make one of those please!

How can with the tech available today, These new music pins can't offer bands entire catalogs? Someone explain this please.

They could offer entire catalogs, but who would want that?

Most bands have plenty of sucky songs.

A pin is like a greatest hits package.

I have this great cd "Now24" you should give it a listen....

There should be a playlist function if you really detested a song.

10 grand for 11 songs. Ludicrous

Each song requires programming a mode around it.

Or are you looking for a jukebox mode that would just play the songs without a specific mode?

There are not 20 songs by Led Zepp fast enough to put in a pinball machine.

There are not 20 songs by Aerosmith fast enough to put in a pin.

There is no reason to require a mode per song. If you did have mode specific songs, having an entire catolog would allow you to highlight the bands greatest hits even further with modes specific to the hits. In what Universe do pinball songs have to be fast? The worst part of band pins is the repetivness of the music. These new machines don't justify their price. How are you even arguing this vid1900?

    #859 3 years ago

Just guessing, but the licenses likely restrict how many songs can be used and possibly there could be an extra cost per song that the pinball manufacturer would not want to go overboard with associated costs.

Thank you DCfan for what is the likely the correct response. Seems like whoever is negotiating these rights is continually getting fleeced.
And what then, in regards to Spooky's Rob Zombie. Surely they had access to all of it ,no?

Don't buy anything if you don't believe it's worth the price.

I don't like the band Metallica anymore but the Pro machine is worth $5k in my world.

Anthrax was always a fun show and you always got your money's worth when you went to see them.

I still listen to Cryptic Writings on a regular basis, guess I'll have to check out the new one.

My favorite last full album by them. I know Dave does not like it as much from what I read as he thinks it's too radio friendly and not enough to thrash.

On a side note Alice Cooper wants a pin done as well.

My money's on Bon Jovi! I hear that music a lot at sporting events.

I would buy one ! Im sure it would also bring in many more female buyers and players which would be a good thing. Not sure about the usa but they are still hugely popular here in Australia and every tour sells out in advance when they play massive stadiums around the country ...

I still say Beatles Just wishful thinking.

Bon Jovi actually makes more sense to me than Aerosmith, but that's probably due to my age as much as anything else. Personally I would love to see a pin based on Ghost or the Orb but ain't nobody got time for that.
