    Quoted from jimy_speedt:

I see that the results of the poll show Iron Maiden in first position. I presume it is linked to the art of their albums.

The Art is good, but the fast, galloping music is what would make for a great pinball machine.

Maiden was a strange crossover band that was part Punk, part Metal.

Many of the bands people have proposed in this thread are WAY too slow to play pinball to.

Then what we need is the Dickies!

Vid may profess to be an "old codger", but the guy knows pinball...AND Music!

Iron Maiden is one of the few licenses that would practically have me "in" at the time of announcement.

And just how sweet would it be if they gave a nod to the old Stern deck and found a way to work in the woman from the original back glass some where in the new art package?

    #754 4 years ago

You can never have too much Dickies.

Voted Iron Maiden, but I would like to see something by The Cult. Just not enough fan art there though.

Now there is one that I didn't think of. I think ZZ Top would make for a great pin.

    Wasn't that HSII?

Lethal Weapon III sure was great.

It's second to last in the poll...I would probably buy a ZZ Top pin, but don't think many others would be interested to justify manufacturing one.

Just in time for the new LCD display, the three of them could be up there lip syncing.

Only instrumental portion of "La Grange"...no vocals.

Why not making a "Metal legends" where you get the most famous bands ? So you target more fans than with a single band. And in the settings, you enable the player to customize the desired sound/song for switches, locks, targets (if any), scores ....

Because then instead of 1 licence you have to work around you'll have 7. Each with diff'rent demands and problems etc etc

Well they could always hire that hillrod to do cover versions of all the songs.

Lady Gaga could probably sell more than an Aerosmith pin.

    #775 4 years ago

yeah, I was joking. But when I read all posts, there will be much disappointment with only a one band pinball. But that s life

If you never saw them live, it was a great show. Lots of energy.

But then again so was The Jam.

Bob Marley pin would be epic.

How about a music pin with no licensed music. Hand drawn art and cheap tunes. Customize tunes with pinball browser to your liking!

OK, without the John Lee Hooker like " Haw, Haw, Haw, Haw" it's not really La Grange.

I would actually love a ZZ Top pin. Waitin' for the bus, Jesus just left Chicago, My Head's in Mississippi, and Just got Paid for the win!

Hopefully Stern is reading this post. I cannot believe Iron Maiden is still winning! As a fan, I love it! Amazing how low the votes are for Ozzy????? I would think an Ozzy pin would be huge?

Maybe if Ozzy never did his stint as an actor, everybody would want his pin.

But who is going to want a "Clown of Metal" pin now?

Maybe the same amount as Kiss. Ozzy isn't the worst idea as he gets into diff'rent areas of play. Never owned, or wanted to, an album by him but I know tons of his songs from classic rock stations...far more than someone like Iron Maiden whom I guess is really big in South America...I know 1 of there songs. Ozzy Imagery isn't bad either, of course Iron Maiden is light years ahead of most people in that department.

There was a rift between Maiden's management and Clearchannel, so Maiden has not been in rotation for many years in the USA.

But in the rest of the world, they are the the biggest thing around.

Watched the funeral today for Lemmy of Motorhead. One guy was remembering about a month ago when Lemmy was at a bar up until 2am playing the Adams Family pinball game. Let's make a game for him.

Now I see their name, Ramones could be a great theme ! No problem to find psychedelic art, and playing ´Rock n Roll high school ´ would be a really good time.

    #796 4 years ago

Just watched one of their shows last night. Certainly a pinball machine could use a Panic Switch.

    #797 4 years ago

I'm surprised that the Grateful Dead isn't on the list. It seems like pinball would be perfect for that group of stoners.

    #798 4 years ago

I'm hoping for a Rush pin eventually. Rush would be awesome.

Beatles would be really cool if they were reasonable to license.

One more vote for Iron Maiden and it will reach the 300 plateau...I can't believe it's still ahead of the greatest rock band of all time...Come on Led Heads get to votin'!

    #800 4 years ago
    Quoted from ZippyThePinhead:

though I can't believe it's still ahead of the greatest rock band of all time...

Zep was of course, the greatest cover band of all time, but Maiden's music is faster and more suited to pinball.
