I had one of these when I was little, still amazed at it as an adult!

Quoted from kungfucop:

Endofline...Do you double up on the rubber bands to give the shots more power? I guess I never learn and did that as a kid as well as now. Must have POWER!!! Ends up turning the plastic white at the stress points making them crack easily. I bought a NIB (still shrinkwrapped) C&C off Ebay a while back and had to open it to re-live my childhood. Paid a pretty penny and de-valued it right away. But it was worth it.

Do you guys have some of the other battle accessories? Like the Dragon and Battle Ram??

Yeah, I'm a fan of this game too!

Quoted from dirkdiggler:

Picked these up from a yard sale yesterday for $3 each. I've been hunting for a Simon for a while now but this radio shack ARCADE will hold me over and I'm a sucker for handheld arcades. The Tandy Space Explorer is a dig dug clone. Both have empty and clean battery compartments so when I get some C batteries hopefully they still work.

I'm a sucker for those Simon clones.

We had this one, which was also purchased from Radio Shack

Quoted from Rezdog:

Damn you Google!
Thought had them all until I image searched Mattel Electronic for this post. I had no idea this existed.
Damn you ebay!

My folks bought this for a me at one of those county fair grounds auctions in the early '80s. Just dug it up recently from storage.

You would not believe the price these command for especially with the box!

When visiting the aunt in the early '80s, we would pass the Starview drive in was located off Rt.59 and Rt. 20 - long gone now. Starview has some interesting history in it's latter life.

Here is an excerpt from an article regarding the Starview:

"This drive-in opened in 1950, located on Route 59 near Lake Street, Streamwood, to the southeast of Elgin. It had a capacity for 500 cars. By its last years in operation, it was showing pornographic films. (Which were the cause of several car crashes on Route 59, as the skin flicks on the large screen were clearly visible to drivers).

The Starview Drive-In closed in 1984 and was allowed to fall into ruin until it was demolished a decade or so later. Townhomes have since been built on the site of the drive-in."

Quoted from Viggin900:

I just watched a Toy Galaxy episode that reminded me of these. I always wanted the Entertech Uzi or Rambo m16 with reloadable water clips. Any kid we played squirt gun/grenade army with who had one was unstoppable. This was my red rider gun growing up.

My brother had the Tec 9 version. I believe they took batteries allowing to rapid fire. The distance wasn’t particularly great. There was also a grenade station where you filled grenade- like water balloons.
