Quoted from Apollyon:

When I got older, I always wanted a bowling game. Skeeball was great but I wanted full bowling action. The big ball bowlers are amazing, but wouldn't fit in my house. But recently I found an alternative that is decent space wise that incorporates both the physical element of bowl with modern technology. The Lane Master Pro. My kids love it.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Not bad.

Got this one a few months ago. Now I can bowl ... ANYWHERE!

Quoted from JeffZee:

For any mechanically minded person I think Tomy was the ultimate toy company. Their stuff was as much fun to take apart as it was to play with. Here's my Tomy collection...

I also recall having a Tomy Digital Derby. I found this "guts" video...

That's just brilliant. This all represents why I'm interested in pinball. It's the physical, mechanical interaction. So much of our modern world is just software which is boring to me.

Jeff, your website has been very helpful and inspirational for hunting down more handheld pinball games!

A couple years ago, I found an Atomic Arcade Pinball, found your website, and then hunted down an 'Astro Shooter Pinball', 'Sonic the Hedgehog Pinball', and finally an 'American Pinball'. Very helpful reference website.

Yeah, Digital Derby is easily my favorite Tomy electro-mechanical game. They're nifty. Currently, I also have 'Blip', 'Digital Diamond', 'Hit and Missile', and last week I found a 'Compu-Bowl'! Just need a 'Digital Daredevil'!

Almost hate to admit it, but I make them battery-free with custom AC adapters.

This one always bothered me...[quoted image]

I think this might be a better way for my wife and I to settle arguments. Thanks!

Quoted from mooch:

Did you have a big wooden toy box as a kid? I had one much like these, but mine had little tigers painted on it. I kept it for many years to store stuff, but I eventually painted it blue so it didn’t look so “kiddie.”

Yep, my bro and I (left) had our Tickle Trunk (fans of Mr. Dressup), filled with good stuff. Late '70's pic. I still have the trunk!
