Voltron, Transformers, Lego, and GI Joe were the big ones for me.

Micro Machines, I loved those things.

I still actively buy Legos too.

Quoted from TheLaw:

It's right up there with turning the key and hitting the button on a rocket launcher and nothing happening.

I'll go fly a rocket with you! I've got some sitting not 10 feet away from me. Rockets were a big part of my life as a kid.

Did a lot of fun shit because of model rockets. I even went to Poland and won a gold medal.

No matter, maybe I've found a new home.

The basement is a good, easy going place.

But don't tell anyone else.... Right now all the drama stays up in the regular threads.

Ya'll remember this thing? I spent hours on the Tomy Turnin' Turbo Dashboard.

It was also my favorite thing to take apart and modify as a kid. I wish I still had it, I'm sure it looked all hacked up but I have some cool memories of that thing.

They have a newer version of this type of toy, the line is called Perplexus. I have the "Epic" on my desk at work and people love to mess with it.

The wooden puzzle boxes are amazing, especially the craftsmanship.

Art, I've got an email incoming to you at some point today.

Wait a sec. Thought you are married.

I am which is why I have to play with my own.

Quoted from jhanley:

In the 60's my allowance was a dollar a week and I had to do chores for it.But you could get 4 taco's and a drink at Taco Bell for a dollar.A decent model kit was a dollar.

My daughter gets $20 a week if she is 100% on top of everything.

She is a great kid, so I don't mind giving her the cash. Straight A's, sweet as can be.

Still like legos too

Legos are amazing! I still buy and play with legos. I've gotten my kids into it too.
