Quoted from girloveswaffles:

Damn! I have several cartridges (still have the boxes as well), but I don't have a Microvision!
And how does one backlight the screen?

Here is the upgraded screen

We had 2 channels in the 70s where I lived. ABC and CBS and we still had the 12 inch B&W going

These were cool. A pizza place near me still had them until they sold it. The new owner gutted the place and ripped the nostagia right out. The place sucks now

Also have a complete Microvision collection. Only thing missing is the original Sea Duel instruction manual. Otherwise complete with manuals and boxes. Replaced screen with a new backlit one. Works great! Pm if interested.

Quoted from Ballderdash:

Toys were so much better before now. Anyone have examples of badass toys available today? I have a 6 & 4 boy and nothing seems fun or well made.

Bigwheel

Quoted from Ballderdash:

Great toy. (Previously) The modern one is so stiff at the handlebars they barely turn. The plastic wheels are so thin they’re already splitting at the seams. I expect the tires to wear out as we all did roaring skid stops and smoky burnouts, but my kid blew them out just slow rolling the ‘hood.

That sucks. I remember having a hole in my front wheel from riding it so much.

I also later learned that when taking a shower and peeing on my feet, that also helped.

Got this as change the other day. Not worth anything but thought it was cool that it was still circulating after all these years.

Quoted from rosh:

"Fucking snake cans is cruel. You build up a kids dream of a new bicycle only to have them dashed in a shocking explosion of reptile and confetti. I am still traumatized by that experience and I think it explains a lot about my trust issues."

You could win

"A Ross Apollo bicycle and a Lactona toothbrush!"
