I just came across this thread. I'm an 80's kid and luckily I still have a lot of my childhood toys. When I was in my 20s I started to buy a lot of my childhood back when I could afford it. My mancave is a little blast of nostalgia when I go down there. Here's just a few things. I have a bunch of other toy lines in totes in my storage unit.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Nice. I can see you are a rasslin' fan. I grew up watching "Texas" Bob Geigel.

Oh wow that's old school right there. Yeah, I use to be a huge wrestling fan as a kid and up into my early 20s. I haven't really watched much over the past 10-15 years though.

All time favorite right there.

Agreed. Gun control is not the topic here please. Please.
Added giger art.[quoted image]

I love giger art. I have a few alien pieces.

Quoted from SunKing:

Back on topic and related to Giger, I was 14 years old in 1979 when Alien was released. It was my 1st R rated movie. A friend and I paid to see 'Hooper' and snuck into Alien instead. I was amazed by the effects, totally sucked into the story, and almost passed out during the chest-burster scene. To say that movie made an impact on that 14-year-old is an understatement.

Funny story, my parents very first date was seeing alien in the drive inn. I should state both my parents hate horror genre movies (I'd argue alien falls more under sci-fi, but to each their own). My dad apparently thought it would be like space odyssey or something. Any who, when the chest buster came out of Kane that scene still haunts my mother to this day, she is horrified everytime she comes down into my basement and sees my alien memorbillia. I look at it has hey, you never know I may not be here today if my parents didn't go see alien.

Does anyone still have there childhood toys and or bought them back as an adult to display them? I have a whole section in my basement dedicated to my toy display/childhood memories.

I see a lot of people who post a lot of their childhood toys, just curious If many display them. Last year my parents were cleaning out the attic and found this. I never recalled owning two. I still have my well played with one, but I'm guess I got one as a present and my parents didn't realize I already had one and never returned it.

Quoted from Molon_Labe:

You're displaying them? Wait....... well, that explains why my wife continually looks at me cross while endlessly playing with my old toys in front of the TV every night.

Yes, I display a lot of my childhood stuff proudly in my mancave lol. I dont play with them because they are all moc. I'm assuming you meant cross eyed?
