I was thinking of the same thing. My best Christmas present ever was a sky blue 1967 schwinn deluxe with the Bendix automatic. It was followed later with a green schwinn varsity(1972). Had to mow lawns all summer to save up enough for that bike.

Bicycles were very important back then and the "rich kids" all had Schwinn Krates.

The only toy I have left from the 60’s. Christmas toy from my grandmother. Found it in mom’s attic about 10 years ago.
