I remember Speidel ID bracelets being a popular thing for guys at my high school for a short time in the early 70s. Custom “Gold Tone” bling to impress the ladies!

TOTALLY forgot about this. They didn't hit my corner of the world until the late 80's. I had one. Turned my wrist green! (then I bought a better one)

Damn you Mooch!
I was saving a credit card slider picture for a later post ....and earlier this week I noticed you beat me to it : )
Then today you beat me again with your Dry Look post!!!

Best I can do is a old Right Guard can : (

Anybody else “reserving” old photos to post later here or am I the only nut that may be enjoying this thread a little bit too much?

Fond memories of watching wrestling with my dad way back in the 70s, before it got so goofy and over the top and they still at least pretended it was real. Nevertheless, I could always be sure of him uttering, sometime during the show, "What a crock of shit!"

Does anyone remember the tiny loaves of bread they used to sell at 6 Flags parks or did they only sell them at Astroworld. We would buy those and stuff them with ham and cheese and warm them to melt the cheese. My God I loved Astroworld. I had such good times there, I actually met my wife there. I am still butthurt that they tore it down because they thought they could sell the land for a billion dollars. Its still a parking lot

Whenever I got constipated as a kid and needed a laxative, my Mom gave me some Fletcher’s Castoria. I loved the taste of that stuff. It had a deep herbal flavor, much like a shot of Jagermeister. But it was a different story if I had the “runs.” She would bring out the bottle of Kaopectate. Remember the original formula of Kaopectate? One of the worst tasting medicines I’ve ever had to take. It was an evil grayish suspension made with Kaolin, a type of clay. So it was basically a watery slurry of mud, and that’s what it tasted like. I would shudder in disgust after swallowing each force-fed spoonful of that nasty stuff.

Did you have a big wooden toy box as a kid? I had one much like these, but mine had little tigers painted on it. I kept it for many years to store stuff, but I eventually painted it blue so it didn’t look so “kiddie.”

Mine was my dad's WWII Navy sea chest. The hardware looked a lot like this, but the box was blue. Sure wish I still had it, but it got put out in the shed and eventually rotted.
