This nerf ball and a hang on the back of a door basketball rim created hours of fun.

Hopefully you guys can help me out. There's a nib 1:18 diecast of the dukes of hazard general Lee I'm following at a auction by me. Current bid is $280 Canadian.
Fair value At current market or crazy high bidding?
I really have no clue. Just caught my eye.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:I really have no clue.
Check completed auctions on Ebay. Ones actually sold, not closed ones that didn't sell.
LTG : )

The Mexican Jumping Beans! bought one set at Knott's Berry Farm.
You can still buy plastigoop, I wonder how hard it would be to turn a 5 dollar bottle of green into an 80 dollar dripping slime mod for your display?

The Creepy Crawlers Thingmaker! I had that scalding hot toy when I was just 8 years old. Its danger level was rivaled only by my Woodburning Set.

My dad said NO! to the device.

Thanks. It's this one. Prebids already at $280 and live sale isn't till Saturday. I'm curious to see how much it goes for.

I had that poster, and a matching notebook. Can you imagine what might happen if a little kid showed up for grade school with that notebook today?!?
Quoted from Rezdog:[quoted image]
They sold Creepy Crawlers ovens in the 90's. They were heated with a large light bulb. It appears the originals were far more dangerous!
Another favorite.
My Dad had me playing from a very early age, but these chessmen had been around the house since the 50s. They are the original bakelite ones with weighted, felt bottoms. You can tell the originals by their color, which is sort of cream and chocolate. The later plastic reproductions are stark black and white.

I was suspended 2 days for bringing dad's playboys to show and tell in grade 5

One day out and price is up to $360
Quoted from Rezdog:This was like magic at the time. Those cans didn’t stand a chance against my light beam. This would never be sold today

Started with these I think in 1966, when I was 6. They were one of my favorite toys!
My brother was 2 years older, and many fights occurred over playing with it,
until my parents split all the pieces, and we had 2 magnetic pads.
It took many years, for this to turn into the magnetic neodymium toys of the last 2 decades.
Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Anyone else have these?
No but that’s one cool collection of magnets.
The only magnets I had came from when my parents replaced our shower curtain liner. Every 6 months or so I could count on adding 4 more to my collection : (

Loved that Coleco system...was so much better than the competition at the time. The 5200 didn’t have a chance with its shitty unresponsive controller buttons.
In ninth grade I was somehow given the nickname of Mr. Do!. Thought it was cool for a month or two but quickly got old. Think I was the only fan of that game in my small group of nerdy friends. I kicked ass in Tron at the arcade so I would much rather have preferred Flynn as a given nickname.... but nope. Mr.Do it was. Would occasionally hear it for the next decade : )
I wish I was joking
What the.... I just noticed NOW that the open track area of each Mr. Do! level is in the shape of that level's number. Or did I know this in the past but my feeble old mind is faltering?

I can still hear the game’s little song playing in my head.

Great game. My favourites were Burger Time, Jumpman Jr. and The Heist. Had to have the super action controllers
Was going thru my manual collection the other day and found my Coleco Jumpman Jr
20200809_204158.jpgMore toys from my past....I guess I really was spoiled!
I had a rich Uncle from Venezuela, that would visit twice a year.
He didnt speak English, but was kind, and loving, as well as generous.
He would hand my brother and I a Hundred dollar bill in the 60s, to Toy shop!
TSS (Times Square Stores) was loaded with everything, and most Toys were $2-$5.
I remember the days well, running up and down the aisles, and grabbing toys, and throwing them in the shopping cart.
If we spent more, it was OK.
But whether it was 007 Spy case, or the biggest Aurora race set, it came home.
I was just as bad with my kids, adding many of my toys to theirs, and now with around 20 bins of games and toys,
my granddaughter is in trouble! First, is Pinball, of course.

Jumpman. The original name for "Mario" in Donkey Kong.

What are you guys thought about opening a item or leaving it sealed? I have 175 NFL Mcfarlanes and wish i didn't open them but at the time didn't care and liked the looks of them on my shelf.
I picked up these KFC cups a while back. I love Looney Tunes and think I'd like to display them without the bags. They're not a big ticket item but part of me says, "keep them sealed"

Dang! Lucky
Here is the doll to have. If you can find one. Future collector's item.
Hasbro made new doll that did not go over so well with the parents of young daughters.
" The troll doll has a button on its stomach that, when pressed, says words like "Can I have a hug?" and other sweet phrases."
" What isn't advertised anywhere on the box or in the media is that there is another button on the bottom of the doll, between its legs and under its skirt. When pressed, the doll makes sounds like "Whee" and "Oh."
The 2.08 video will show it all.
I scratch my head and try to think about how corporations manage to make stupid screw ups like this. If I was boss, a new market research dept. would be forthcoming.
Now, back to the toys of our childhood. Anybody want to play some Jarts ?
