3 of My 4 School grade Girlfriends, all Married men named, "Art".

Must be something wrong with #4!

Grade six or seven we did line dancing. Learned Cadillac Ranch and the bird dance which is helpful at weddings. Couldn't stand it at the time because I hated country music.

Being from J&J wonder if worn over each nostril and mouth if they would protect you from covid.
I think they claim to be breathable.
Those tins also made for great stash storage.

Quoted from mooch:

I remember using these color Band-Aids with the stars when I was a kid.

I don't remember the ones with stars but sure do remember Band-Aids, that smell takes me back.
A very active topic on here last few days makes me think of this.

Remember when butter came in a wooden box ?

One pound box was perfect for an O Gauge Lionel box car. Two pound box was perfect for a Lionel Standard Gauge box car.

Lionel or Ives, depending on what you had.

When I was a wee lad, we in Wisconsin weren't allowed to purchase yellow colored margarine, just unappetizing white stuff, in order to "protect" dairy farmers and their butter. I think it came with the coloring separate in case you wanted to mix it in. Law was repealed in 1967.

Yes, my mother told me about that, but I was too young to remember it myself, as we moved from WI when I was 4.
My actual oldest memory is of being lost in the snow in Madison (I would have been about 3 and a half years old).

I have about 5 of these old wooden cheese boxes filled with screws, bolts and nails from my grandfather's workshop.

This one is from Lloyd Manufacturing!

In the early 60s in NY, it was a "Sleep Aid", to get crying kids to sleep to
give some codeine as in Cough/Sleep or Tooth.

My parents created an Addict!

I don't remember some of the stuff you all have been dragging up but I will tell you that some of the best cheese I ever ate was government cheese usde to feed the poorer people in our society. That stuff was good. Top shelf.

I used to own a 1950's Woodrail pinball called Knock out and it has a little boxing ring in the center. Do well and one of the boxers goes down. Pretty cool for the 50's.

I took pride in having the sharpest crayons on the block.
Think I enjoyed sharpening them more then actually coloring.

I miss my childhood a little when I see these, but I love the nostalgia. Feels pretty good.

My grandma bodak would buy us a toy every time we went with her, Death Star play set.

Alien figure, Mattel electronic games.

My Dad had a Roy Rogers and Trigger pocket knife when he was a kid. I have it now and thought it might be worth something, but I see it only brings about $12 on eBay so I'll just keep it. It seems to be one of the first in a series of pocket knives featuring cowboy heroes (Zorro, The Lone Ranger, Annie Oakley, Gene Autry and others). I think there were around 48 knives total in the set (see picture below of 29 of them), but I only have the Roy Rogers knife in the first picture.

Ah, yes, Micronauts (AKA Microman).
I remember the T.V commercials for those

... and the Marvel Comics:

Magazines In The 70s

The most important magazine in our house when I was a kid was the TV Prevue from the Sunday Chicago Sun-Times newspaper.
My dad had to have this each week or he was miserable.
One of his four essentials.

I have a collection of antique advertising signs. I found these at antique shows about 25 years ago. Even though they weren’t very expensive, they get lots of comments from guests.

Ditto in my house. And it had to be the smaller Sun-Times TV guide, not the larger Chicago Tribune version.

I recall at my age, the toys were the pinnacle of the swat experience.
I wanted to like the show, but remember liking happy days and six million dollar man.

And then came the micronauts and Star Wars toys.

I got a card guy at frank and sons, he has everything. He is a subject matter expert. I’ll take a picture next weekend. I want to test a theory about smells and memory.
