A pizza parlor in Farmington, MI introduced me to pinball in 1973. They had a Swinger and a Wild Life. I probably played the WL a little more than the other, don't really remember why at this late date. Unfortunately the pizza parlor (and the pins I presume) were destroyed in a fire several months later.
Some time later I came across a Sky Jump in the local drug store, and played that whenever I got the chance. I remember that one had ALL replays disabled on it (a hand-written index card was taped on the apron under the glass: "NO FREE GAMES ON THIS MACHINE --ORDER OF POLICE DEPARTMENT"). No other pins in that town had that that I ever saw.
