If it works fine and doesn't have any acid damage I would offer him 4k for it. That is only if you wanted to be fair. You could always try to low ball him but who knows where that will go.

Well, I guess I was wrong. I thought because normal ones go for around 4k, if he wanted to get a good deal he should offer that. I had no idea that HOU TAF's went for so much.
