Going to check out and hopefully pick up a LOTR this weekend. What are the main wear spots / problems I should look for? It sounds really nice and has LED's already. Also, a shaker motor hard to install? I always see posts about people needing help.

Arwen plastic is usually always broke or missing. Make sure Balrog is working correctly. A great game good luck.

Look at the center Ring ramp, at the post on the lefthand side of the ramp entrance area, as you look at it. The factory posts were weak, and bent backwards when hit repeatedly. Sometimes, the post is bent so far back that there is damage to both the PF and the metal ramp.

Make sure your ring board works and all the LEDs on the board light up as they should. I had missed that when I purchased mine and had to send the P/D board to Clive for repair.

I seen you CL add and knew it was you since you mentioned a while back you were wanting one. Almost emailed you regarding mine but decided against it. I dunno, its been really pissing me off lately, and I just suck at it for some reason. I'd probably regret parting with it though.

Great advice guys, thank you! Always helps to hear from people who have experienced it first hand. I have played it s bit in the wild and loved it. Seems like it has long ball times, which may get tiring but I'm willing to try

It's only tiring to RGR...
Just get it JT and enjoy all that it has to offer. I personally think it is one of the best machines around; if you hate it, sell it. Easy peasy!

I am not experiencing long ball times. A tough, deep game.

I rarely did?

I would add beautiful and well laid out...

Was this issue with the weak post resolved by the last run?

I don't think it was ever resolved from the factory, was it? Terry at Pinball Life has the only fix post I know of.

I read it on the Stern site it was fixed in 2005 and later manufacture.

I have an LE and no "weak post"....

Do you yourself a favor and study the rules a little bit before you dive in....!
