I've got a Game Plan Old Coney Island that needs a backbox lock. The backbox looks to be the same size as a Bally of the late '70s era, but I've read that the parts are not compatible. Perhaps a full backbox lock assembly (i.e., with the long bar) could be used?

I'm reasonably sure a standard 1-1/8" would work (either that, or a 7/8") . I replaced the lock on my sharp shooter and just used one of the standard locks I keep on-hand.

Are you sure it was for the backbox? This appears to be a lock with a longer recessed end than a standard front door lock.

I suspect it was 1-1/8", rather than 7/8.

If you measure the barrel of the lock, that will tell you what size it is.
