The title says it all. What original theme or license would you like to see on a pin?

    #2 6 years ago

I would love to see something original with a playfield layout designed by Ritchie and art done by Frank Kozik (the vinyl toy designer.)

Also, I think Archer (the TV show) could make for a fun pin.

    Quentin Tarintino
    Lego
    BMW

    Forgot that one.

    Television Shows:

    Spartacus (now completed and perfect)
Game of Thrones (probably needs another season)
    Walking Dead (likewise, another season)
    Dexter (ready now)
    True Blood (ready now)
Doctor Who (four more doctors in and the show has never been more popular)

    Movies:

Resident Evil (worthy of Stern's first LCD game)
Matrix (past its time, but I'd like it)
    Ghost busters (see above)
Star Wars (make a good pin for this great series)

    Other:

Updated wrestling game. Something like "Legends of Wrestling", bring back Hogan, HBK, Flair, Savage, Undertaker, Mankind, Stone Cold, the Rock, Andre the Giant, HHH, etc.

Anything with an ancient Roman theme or Greek theme.

    That's easy,

    Futurama!!!

    #7 6 years ago

Slayer . Yeah sure they're old and white but they are not a rock band , they are metal.
But seriously anything with original artwork , the clipart photoshop crap doesn't really do it for me.

I did forget about Futurama. That show would sell well as a game.

Another movie pin that would be a lot of fun is Highlander. Waaaaay past its prime . . . but it is being re-booted (sadly, it is being re-booted by Summit, the people that did Twilight, so I'm a bit frightened of the re-boot).

Oh please no . . . I would way rather see South Park re-made (actually, I think South Park should be given another shot as a pin theme).

    #11 6 years ago

really? I just figured the sounds, animations, and toys could be great.

    #12 6 years ago

    Jimi Hendrix

    #13 6 years ago

Spider-Man The Musical (Marvel + Old White Rocker Bono!)

    #15 6 years ago

    Military theme.

    #16 6 years ago

    The Big Lebowski

Some really cool guy, can't remember his name, started a thread where he is taking pretend orders for TBL's to gauge interest.

    #17 6 years ago

Original theme? I'd like to see a Martian Invasion pin similar to AFM, but with all the new do-dads in there. Plenty of girls in spacesuits, monsters, space ships, robots, ray guns, etc.

    #18 6 years ago

License theme? There is plenty to mine with the old stuff.
    War of the Worlds (Pal)
    Forbidden Planet
    Time Machine (Pal)
    2001
    This Island Earth
Ray Harryhausen films (7th Voyage of Sinbad)?
Yeah, I like the sci-fi stuff

    #19 6 years ago

    I'm partial to monster pinballs.

    Haunted House
    Underworld
    Army of Darkness

I'd also like to see James Bond done right.

I too would vote for Archer. The call outs would be hilarious.

    #20 6 years ago

Aside from The Big Lebowski, i would like to see a Monty Python pin - either a general theme or specific to the Holy Grail movie.

Call of Duty, Halo, or World of Warcraft, would be cool, have lots of gameplay/toy options and have crossover to a younger generation. Since they are franchise games, they would stay relevant longer.

    #21 6 years ago

how about a licensed Sci-Fi B movie pin? Licensing fees shouldnt be too hard to obtain.

    Roger Corman's greatest hits?

    #22 6 years ago

I'd like to see a new Western theme game.

I'm normally not a huge fan of S. King, but I think something along the lines of Dark Tower would have some amazing imagery that could be used. It's also obscure enough that for the majority of people it would basically feel like an original theme.

The one thing it's missing is "campyness". In many ways this machine would need to be dark, twisted and creepy. Because it's based on a series of seven books the ruleset could and should be epic, like Lord of the Rings.

Horror/Monster theme is something I would like,I still think SAW would be a great license to get just imagine all the cool evil toys they could come up with

I think a lot of the elements of Medieval Madness could be reused in Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail. I guess it's not really even stealing since Monty Python did them first.

    Project Runway

    #26 6 years ago

    This Island Earth? LMFAO....

    "Hey Hal..."

    "Yeah Ruth?"

    "I farted."

    #27 6 years ago

50s and 60s sci fi, based on the art style of Chesley Bonestell. He was amazing!

Also, an original theme haunted house. I'd be very interested in seeing how JJP integrates the LCD into that!

    I like that idea.

    Dexter of course
    Futurama it's time
    Underworld
    Resident Evil
    Saw

And bring out the virgins, if you can find any (remake)

    #29 6 years ago

Yeah 50s 60s sci-fi, or something like Zathura artwork:

    Zathura_Title_card.jpg

    #31 6 years ago

Dune (based on the book, not the movie)

    King Kong

James Bond (covering them all - think Dirty Harry)

    and....

    anything that is unlicensed/original theme

    #32 6 years ago
    Quoted from txstargazer3:

50s and 60s sci fi, based on the art style of Chesley Bonestell. He was amazing!

Or Reynold Brown who painted most of the best sci-fi movie posters of the 50's...

    Maybe Archie.

My kids have already come up with a rule set for a Phineas and Ferb pin. Sounds pretty cool to me...

    #35 6 years ago

I have a good one : It's a small world Disney World ride hehehehe think I would tilt it way too much

My kids would love that one

    #37 6 years ago

    Three Stooges.

And I'm not a huge fan of their "movies". I just have a gut feeling that a Stooges theme with the tech that's available could make a game that everybody could relate to, get a laugh out of playing.

    Looney Tunes

    #40 6 years ago

This topic has been beat into the ground over and over and over again.

    #41 6 years ago

Spongebob would be great. Tons of callouts. A NHL pin. A zombie pin. A new Iron Man. Diehard. Harry potter. Linkin park

    #42 6 years ago

Constantine (comics not the movie), classic Nintendo theme other than Mario Brothers (Megaman, Castlevania, etc.), anime theme (Yu Yu Hakusho or a Ghibli movie collection), Rush

    Project Runway

Auf Wiedersehen! when it drains of course...

Noooo! my wife would make me get one

    #45 6 years ago

I think something cool like the "God of War" mythology. I can't wait to see an original idea pinball.

    #46 6 years ago

BLADERUNNER. Somebody, please make a bladerunner.
    Goonies.
I also like amalongi's Dune vote.

I thought a game with a semi campy robot invasion theme would be fantastic. Hundreds of tiny marching robots drawn on the PF in the Python Angelo style, and a few larger robots (lit and/or mechanical) at the key shots.

    #48 6 years ago

The Matrix and Toy Story... Past their prime but good solid themes.

The Legend of Zelda is my dream theme.
I would also go for Walking Dead or some kind of original Haunted House type theme.
