    Quoted from TigerLaw:

If done by the right designer then yes. A Pat Lawlor Zelda would be off the chain.

you need more than a good designer. Need good rules and a company that doesn't neuter your creation.

I find it interesting that after every new game announcement, the number of people who are willing to go in blind and purchase a LE machine without playing it first appears to be going up. When I refer to sight unseen I am referring to buying a machine without playing it first. Pictures and videos are ok, but I think the only way to truly judge a potential purchase is to play it first. I guess there are plenty of themes left where people are willing to go in sight unseen. Seems like a bit of a gamble nowadays.

I said it in the JJP4 thread. I said it last year. I'll say it again here and again in the future.

JJP Harry Potter is an instantaneous, sight unseen, Collector Edition purchase for me.
I don't even need pictures. If Jack sent me an email saying "we're going to make a Harry Potter game next year, send cash" I'd do it.

YES it's irresponsible, dumb, and risky. I'll fully admit that and would still do it.

And I'm enough of a man to fully admit that I would let you do it.

I thank you for not trying to stop me. This is just something I have to do.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I'll never get the chance, but I can hope.

Forgot about another potential title that would be hard for me to pass up upon release....

    Lost Boys.jpg

    #209 1 year ago

Legend of Zelda, RUSH, Pink Floyd

    #210 1 year ago

    Not sight unseen, but:

    They Live
    Adventure Time
    Led Zeppelin

    #211 1 year ago
    Quoted from toddsolus:

Definitely a Catsup themed pin ....but I don't think I would do it if it was just ketchup...you know, too common.

Theresa Hines Kerry nearly took Hines ketchup off the Map years ago. Most people I know still won't buy it because of her.

Quoted from TouchingEvil:I would buy a Big Trouble In little China unseen

Lotsa Kurt Russell movies would make good pinball, Overboard, Escape from New York....

    Boogie Nights!!! Lol

But I feel like it's more important who is making the game. I'm thinking of buying POTC without having played it just because it's a JJP game. Other companies.... not so much.... and Pulp Fiction is one of those titles I'd love but am not convinced the license holder can do it justice.

I wish JJP would eventually do a sub brand that makes adult themes.

I plan on purchasing Guardians of the Galaxy LE sight unseen when announced...

    THE BEACH BOYS

    #224 1 year ago

    Deadwood
    Big Trouble in Little China
    Beavis and Butthead
    The Warriors

    #225 1 year ago

JJP Toy Story and Harry Potter. Been saying that for a long time.

I’d also be interested in, but would need to play:
Zelda or Chrono Trigger (never happening)
    Foo Fighters
    Disney World (theme park)
A western theme like Deadwood or Tombstone
    Godfather
    Back to the Future trilogy

nothing. wont buy another codeless game. looking for st le and i wouldt have an issue buying 2-3 year old les with advanced code. (i never believe code is ever finished)

    #227 1 year ago

    Scooby.gif

    #228 1 year ago

JJP Harry Potter if anything. (we would see it first anyway before pre-orders were taken)

Jack should offer a $3,000 bonus to the first employee able to facilitate a licensing deal from her. Or let us try to do it for him. Someone must know someone that knows someone, who can bring about a change in attitude on pinball.

    #229 1 year ago

$3,000 bonus? Heck he could probably get away with a $50,000 bonus. I think Harry Potter is THEE cash cow theme. Whoever gets it is rich.

    #230 1 year ago

Iron Maiden. Don't care if it even has flippers. I'm in on LE and possibly a pro if artwork is radically different.

    #231 1 year ago

Tesla (Not the Car or Rock Band)
MXC - Most Extreme Elimination Challenge
    Indeed Ken!
    Futurama
    Classic Universal Monsters

    #232 1 year ago

Disney World or at least Magic Kingdom from Jersey Jack

    #233 1 year ago

    Maiden. Up the Irons!!!

    #234 1 year ago

    BTTF
Teenage mutant ninja turtles (comic / cartoon art)

    #235 1 year ago

I would never buy an LE, but if Megadeth was made I'd buy a pro unseen just cause I like Megadeth that much.

    #236 1 year ago

What theme is left that you would buy an LE sight unseen?

    NON.

    #237 1 year ago

Depends on what manufacturer was making it.

    #238 1 year ago
    Quoted from Flowst:

So long as it wasn't made by Stern, then count me in for...

I would be in for a Munsters and Nightmare Before Xmas sight unseen....

    Quoted from Bruce_Pickle:

    Deadwood
    Big Trouble in Little China
    Beavis and Butthead
    The Warriors

    Great choices.

I would add Bloodsport and Mortal Kombat to that list.

PS: Let me know when the pugilist exhibition bout is happening up in the Valley Bruce_pickle.

I want to make sure I have ringside seats to cheer you on.

if a new Back To The Future was being made with and LCD and film clip footage like BM66 / Aerosmith / SW I would buy sight unseen... if if the code was incomplete.

definitely like the idea of Big Trouble In China ... that would be a fun theme.

Actually talked to Gary last week in person about Back to the Future and suggested this title as an instant buy for me.
He replied that he wasn't sure of the market for it.

Because they want to address 3 markets at once with a title
    - young people, bar visitors, etc...
    - collectors like us
    - the guy that does a single purchase in his life

I think the first group wasn't addressed with a title like this so that could be a reason why we would never see a bttf from stern in the future. With batman you still have batman as a current thing, back to the future is really an eighties thing.

Anyway he's aware that there is some intereset, just has to fit in the business plan.
Maybe we could start an I would buy it immediately back to the future thread and if the list exceeds 500, we could bring it to their attention

    Three Stooges!!!!

    Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

Choose from Curley or Shemp editions!!!

    Goonies!

    Rick & Morty!!!!

My dad told me when I was a teenager that he can teach me and tell me stories of lessons learned in order to save me from the trials and tribulations in life. He also said that even so, I'm still probably going to go ahead and do it anyways. So with that being said, I'd throw down for an IMLE for sure, heh heh.

I would like to add the following, preferably from JJP...

    image (resized).jpeg

    #247 1 year ago

Back to the Future, no doubt. And while I'm sure JJP would knock it out of the park, it would most likely be way out of my price range, so I'm kind of hoping Stern does it. lol

Sheesh, his obsession with pinballs and bars....and young people? Since when did young people care about Batman 66 or Aerosmith?

    #249 1 year ago

    Castlevania!!

None, but the closest to that would be Wonder Woman or Justice League.
