Quoted from beelzeboob:Vegas annoyed me before I ever got out of the airport. When you have to take a train a few hundred yards at a small airport just to get your rental car and leave, that's BS. But it didn't end there. Every time I had to cross a street on the strip, I was funneled up steps and into a casino, where I promptly got lost and had to find my way back to the street. My first time there was my last time, but at least my trip to PHOF got me into the hobby.
Small airport? Las Vegas has been in the top ten by passenger count for over a decade.
Quoted from LTG:Or if they are a decoy, you'd be arrested. Prostitution is legal in Howard County, not in Clark County where Las Vegas is.
LTG : )
Nye COuNty is the closest legal one to Clark. Look for the red lights at night......
Quoted from jhanley:We have cat houses in Elko County,Nv.
Yessir, very familiar those in Elko (former Bally town) and Wells too.
Quoted from rotordave:I've watched documentaries about the hookers in the cat houses around Vegas. Louie Theroux from the BBC did a very good one.
What I couldn't believe was how much they were charging for the "services" ...
The going rate (so I am told ..) around Auckland is $100-200 NZ bucks ... but the ones on the TV were like 500-900 US bucks. I know a guy who had a lady come to his room in Vegas and she wanted like $500 bucks or something like that.
Is it really that much? Always wondered. Seems a shit load of money.

Quoted from rai:If it flies, floats or F#cks it's cheaper to rent than to buy.
Also, if it has wheels.....
Quoted from jhanley:That is f**cking unbelievable.A computer that tells the bartender when you can get a free drink. That's it for me.I'm never going back.I'll spend my money in Reno.
You can thank that piece of shit "professor" Gary Loveman of Harrah's Entertainment (now known as Caesars Entertainment) for his "quantitative methods" like this that bankrupted his COmpaNy. All of the other public gaming COmpaNies followed.
Quoted from jhanley:Heres a new one. My wifes secretary and her husband were at a hotel in Vegas and grabbed a cart to take their luggage to their room. One of the employees said they would have to rent it for $5 dollars.
I'd get my five bucks worth. I carry a pipe cutter in my trunk.
But actually, at a full service casino-hotel, I tip the bellhop to bring my bags to the room when I'm with someone. $5 to $10 so $5 to borrow the cart means pay the bellhop five buck and you get delivery at no extra charge.
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:My wife and I just wed/eloped in Reno in February.
It was great!
