I used to go to Vegas quite frequently to play poker, mostly at the Orleans. But the last 3 years I have barely played any poker at all. I just hang out at PHOF, Flipperspiel, and the Fremont Arcade. I also go to a lot of the other pinball locations around town and check them out so I can update the Pinside map. It takes many hours at PHOF documenting every game and then updating on Pinside, but that's just something I enjoy doing. I also like hunting down new pinball locations and adding to the map no matter what state I am in. Call me crazy, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than gambling and is just as entertaining to me. My last trip was a little over a month ago, and I didn't even go near the strip a single time. I normally check out the pins at NYNY, but since they started charging for parking there I skipped it and played at Fremont instead. Also bought two pins from a fellow pinsider while I was out there, so I guess I did end up spending a lot, but at least I got to take something home with me.
