The EM version of Joker Poker is highly prized by serious collectors. It's not uncommon to see them go for big money to the right buyer. It's a bit of a grail pin for some and they simply never pop up.

Do a little digging into past sales. You'll see what I mean.

For what it's worth... if I had a shot at this game for a decent price, I wouldn't be posting about it here until it was in my basement

All of the issues mentioned can be fixed with a couple of hundred of dollars in new parts and some elbow grease. The things you can't easily fix (playfield, cab, glass) all look to be in really nice shape.

Considering you can't find a nice ss copy of this machine for less than $1500-$1700 CAD and this is the highly prized and super rare EM version, I think a lot of these guesses at value are highly optimistic.
The last one mentioned on pinside sold for $4K USD several years ago.

It's the same as buying a Countdown vs. a Space Walk. I can get the countdown for $1200-$1700 but if a Space Walk came up for sale, you'd have guys throwing $5K+ at the seller. It's apples and oranges.
