Hey all, got a quick question for anybody out there that can help me with an EM. Have a 1976 Captain Fantastic pinball. On the left hand side of my cabinet, it gives me a serial number of 6464. However, inside the machine, and inside the back, it reads 6596. Does this mean the inners don't match the cabinets? Thoughts??? Do I have Frankenmachine?

The fact that the inspection tag is inside, stapled to the cabinet, tells me it was just a tag mix up. Does the head match?

The head should also have a stamp on the outside I believe ?

Yup, 6464 on head.

I was wondering about that with my new machine. Head and body both are stamped with 1684, but inside, the tag reads 1970. So is my machine #1684? Or #1970?

So is my machine #1684? Or #1970?

1684 without a doubt.

Gottliebs usually have a manufacturers certificate on top playfield arch, not sure if Bally does.

Question. I just picked up a machine from RI. The head is stained 16397, which is more than they actually reportedly made. How is this possible?

It likely didn't start at 1. Check out the serial database to see the reported range for your particular machine.

Thank you. I will post my game there. Weird, that list runs from 1001 to 18000. Hah I thought I found a unicorn! Now I have to find my bay city rollers 8 track and a player.... thanks again, Anthony. .
