Nothing wrong with fear. It's the reaction to it that's important. Do you run, or confront it, or have others confront it on your behalf? Fear is a trigger with a reason, like pain indicates injury, without pain you could aggravate or compound an injury, and that makes it a necessity as a diagnostic tool. After proper diagnosis, pain can be medicated as necessary. Not a psychologist by any means just MHO but fear is a diagnostic tool to make you aware of harm, before the pain of say, getting bitten by a poisonous insect.
