"Little bird flying over the forest has a better view than angry bear lost in the woods"
(I made this one up myself)
Quoted from vinnypeppers:THIS ONE IS CLASSIC..........

Perry Mason would whirl in his grave!
when working on something and u cant find it and someone comes over to help you find it points at it in 5 seconds and says
"if it had teeth it would have bit you"
Quoted from starfighter:For me this is less of a quote and more of a personal mantra...
You start out playing rock and roll so you can have sex and do drugs. But you end up doing drugs so you can still play rock and roll and have sex.
Mick Jagger - Top ten things he learned in 50 years of rock and roll. This quote was #1

We aren't descendant from a bunch of fat cave people the dinosaurs ate.
We're descendant from the little F'ers that made it back to the cave.

After yesterday's terrible collision and loss of life involving a B-17 and P-63 in Dallas, I remembered a quote one of my aviation instructors recited almost 40 years ago:
Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect. - A.G. Lamplugh, British pilot
Quoted from illudiumQ36:it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect. - A.G. Lamplugh, British pilot
Include manned space flight with aviation and add +10dB of risk
*whimpering* "But he did it completely wrong! He was supposed to do it a certain way..."
Don Knotts, No Time For Sergeants 1958
We have been watching a lot of Bond movies with the kids in preparation for the pin. I really liked this line from Tomorrow Never Dies.
“The difference between insanity and genius is measured only by success.”
How true that is.
Quoted from poppapin:Confuscious say: "Man with hole in pocket, feel cocky all day"
Confucious say: "Man who fart in church, sit in his own pew!"
When I want your opinion, I will give it to you.
(I think I heard that in a movie a very long time ago).
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.

Billy M (said that to me while sitting at an awesome taco stand in Mexico)
Atty gen Janet Reno put him on the original congressional list of the 12 biggest drug dealers in the world. They took him off the list 15 years later. She didn't like my buddy apparently. Or me.

I Saw Gallagher one time in the early 1980s. I must have been 14.
I’ve read that Everyone that reads the cave allegory has a different reaction. I see it as I am the one who was pulled out of the cave. It happened seven years ago, at college. After my stroke and three brain surgeries.
This cave allegory has not been surpassed yet in our lifetime. Thank you Plato.
But not everyone even wanders from the cave at all. I would estimate atleast 75 percent of all society remains locked into staring at the shadows.
I learned stoicism is my ideal philosophy.
