Someone on this board who shall remain nameless (his username rhymes with CRAZYLEVI) said that your products aren't even pinball machines. So yeah, apparently your marketing department has some work to do!

This cracked me up, and was super slick getting the name in there with a "hey what about us?!" . Way to go Gerry

How is Stern beating Williams? I mean, I get that they are still going, but none of their games have made me go "I have to drop 7k on this". They all kind of play and feel the same and I can't place my finger on it, but just not that enjoyable (IMO).

    Not Stern.

Williams. As they go way back to the 50s in my collection.

As far as current manufacturers, I gotta go with Spooky as they have made the only machine from the last 10 years I want to and do own at the current time.

I mean Bally, duh. Although I have consistently gone back to JJP for games that I want to own long term. Even the knockout hit IMDN has me a little trigger shy, and I LOVE the band. I can’t put my finger on it..

Is there a real distinction between Williams and Bally? I tend to think of the two as essentially interchangeable.

Ever play a Bally and Williams from 1980/1981?

Or go back even further when Bally was making mostly Bingo games?

When is Polymorphic every going to be allowed to play this game?
You have half a dozen defunct companies on there, but a legit company turning out pins can't get a hand.

    SMH.

    Gottlieb is beating DE???

    #67 5 years ago

There are 2 Sterns that I think of. The one that created Quicksilver (and I have to mention Berzerk ) and the one that created LOTR and WOF. Which am I voting for?

Gotrtlieb has made game for a long time and were hands down the best EMs in the 70s...which is like a shit ton of games.

DE made good 80s games and then switched to DMD and made games for the poor to enjoy.

    Quoted from schudel5:

Zaccaria should definitely be on the list for making a bunch of great SS machines. Sonic Segasa made some great EMs, although their cabinets sucked.

The foreign companies were not afraid to try things that is for sure!! Very cool features.

    Quoted from FatPanda:

In the 70s and 80s, they were certainly differently companies with different games. I believe it was in 1990 (or at least around that time) that the merger happened.

    1988.
