Dominos and The Jetsons, played them at a show cause there were no lines. I finished a game of the Jetsons but Dominos by the second ball I had enough, I would rather play Vacation America.

Quoted from dung:

Guys are making me nervous. I am set to pick one up next week at a great price. I had two games on a routed one locally, but the sound was near muted. I know its known for having issues (some of which were code based, some still needing to be fixed), but at the price couldn't say no. Also fits into my collection due to the rarity. Hope I am not making a mistake here.

What!?!?!?

Different strokes I guess.

God this. Even bad games I can still usually find some fun in. I've given WWE a chance a few times at various locations and my god it's so bad.

Walking dead!! Soooo many design flaws!! It's the only machine I've owned that I almost flipped over lol

I gotta hear this..hopefully there is more than the "pop feed out of the bumpers."

I love TWD but god damn that feed can be rage inducing lol.

Any game if not set up right could seem like a disaster. I played a flash once that was so horrible I couldn’t finish the game quick enough. Couple months later I played a different one, while not a great experience, was Significantly better.

#59 5 years ago

Admittedly it needs some tweaking but once dialed in it really isn't a big deal. Great game, but we all have opinions.

Personally I've not played a more "recent" game that was even close to being as bad as Rob Zombie. It is absolutely terrible in every aspect. The shots feel awful, the lighting is non existent in the game, the rules are garbage and the screen looks terrible. Had one local we used in tournaments and I really thought the screen had a loose connection. Nope just looks like ass normally. Game is firewood.

#60 5 years ago

Did I miss an "other than SF2" qualifier? That and Raven are the worst I've played so far.

Modern releases in the last year or so, it would have to be Houdini. Clunk-fest, lame theme. Not sure I've played an RZ though, but t looks like junk, sooo...

Funny,
As a kid I used to go to monthly arcade game auctions with my parents who ran an arcade. One month we went and they had a brand new South Park pinball machine that had just been released. It sold for the highest price of any pinball machine there... the first one we saw sell for more than $3,000. This was at an arcade auction with literally hundreds of pinball machines being sold. This was a higher price than I'd ever seen any machine go for... including nearly new TAF, MM, AFM, IJ, etc.

#64 5 years ago

Spectrum - an intriguing concept, but not executed well.....and those plastic slings are AWFUL.

And another vote for Raven - gameplay is ok, but the ruleset needs a major overhaul.

#65 5 years ago

Dominos pizza pinball. I had no idea this existed until about 20 seconds ago. I still can't believe someone made it, lol!

Breakshot- the call-out girl’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard and not fun at all for a DMD game.

OH man - the rules are horrendous. so not fun

Quoted from Sinestro:

Nonsense. GOTG is a great game, and very accessible to casual/new players. It's also one of the best Pro's Stern has ever made, with no compromises on the main mech. Drop in Cleland's sound mod and it's damn near perfect.
It's doing well on route, and is probably the most common game I see in my area.

The stock sound isn't what bothers me. It's the game having no actual modes. It's movie clips where you hit the lights. It's terrible. Have you played any games with great theme integration? Try Deadpool and compare it. The modes you're battling and if you loose it says you suck and makes fun of you. GOTG the clip ends, some motown plays, you start the mode and the clip plays again. It's so dumb. It shoots great I'll admit I love the mechs and layout. I think the code is absolute trash as far as theme integration. A huge miss but the product of trying to overlay a movie into the game.

Out of newer games, I absolutely hate Stern Star Wars. I hate the way it looks, I hate the rules, I hate how drain happy it is, I hate how it uses the action button. Easily one of the worst and most disappointing games of the last few years.

I found Rob Zombie to be very amateurish. I get why, but it's hard to look at that game in a bank and think its on the same level. I've flipped a Dominoes and thought it was boring, but fine. I was mildly surprised at Alice Cooper. I wasn't in love with it, but I was extremely impressed by the quality improvement. Some of the shots are bad though.

I was excited to try a multimorphic and thought it had a few interesting ideas, but is overall a total dud. I played maybe four games and I think I've had my fill for life.

Haven't played a Houdini yet, but my expectations are very low.

Worst game of all time? I humbly propose Big Ben

Not a bad game, just not a keeper.
I found it got boring quite fast, and the old lady bitched all the time that the sound just way to annoying.
So quick flip.

GOTG .... boring pin

Scientific fact: Ghostbusters. Terribly designed unplayable anti-fun.

End thread.

O'gosh......where to begin?

Stellar Wars
TNA and I never played it, it just looks lame and seems like it's hyped to death, funny how I see more for sale...
Anything Stern made after TSPP.
Congo, ??
Rob Zombie, play and art sucked not to mention the build quality.
Nitro Groundshaker, great art but horrible game play. Same goes with Lost World...ugh!!
Diner, another looker that goes no where's.
Voltan, ...ditto.
Tron, I just don't get it, maybe because I never seen the movie?
Hook, again never seen the movie?
LOTR, just can't get into it.
Captain Fantastic, first rate art on the backglass, but the play sucks!!
Adam's Family, need I say more?
Space Invaders, love the light show but that's were it ends for me.

I could go on and on........

No, no...lol! I was just in shock that it exists!

Not sure what the worst has been. I guess I don't care for most EMs, so it would be one of those. Maybe mayfair.

My least favorite newer/modern pin is TNA.

Tmnt
Ninja ninja

But if at a good price i would still buy one

F-14. I wanted one forever because I thought the beacon lights would look so cool, but had never played one. I finally picked up a very nice example, but quickly realized it wasn't going to last long.

#81 5 years ago

Dayhuff’s post has to be a joke. And yeah, that’s pinside in a nutshell.

It’s hard to pick the worst game I’ve ever played, because I feel like I need a decent amount of time on a game before I can really speak on it.

But I’ll say farfalla. That game could be much better if it had any rules what so ever.

But instead it’s shoot the upper playfield, hit the targets up there. That’s it.

Every other target in the game is pointless.

Scorpion is pretty terrible too. WORST. MULTIBALL. EVER. SOOOOO SLOW.

#82 5 years ago

Houdini
Ghost Busters

I feel like you just described most games with a upper playfield. I think most games with prominent upper playfields are bad. It shrinks the game into two small areas, and you rather just stay in the upper. It makes the whole game feel cramped. Hot take: Black Knight is overrated AF

I actually like Farfalla for trying to be interesting and the art is killer.

Hmmm.....we'll the only other thing I can say is if you look you won't see any of those in my collection. But yeah, it's probably just a joke.
LOL.

Plenty of upper playfields are good, just code the rest of the damn game. Make the other stuff matter.

I think BK is super overrated too.

Give me Jungle Lord over BK any day.

I mean come on all those games you posted are tied for the worst games you’ve ever flipped? Including one you haven’t played?? Haha

#87 5 years ago

I don't think BK is overrated at all.

You gotta remember....this is 1980, when getting multiball was the ultimate achievement. There were no games with an upper level, no games with magna save, no games with special rules during multiball, no games with a bonus ball and I don't remember any games before this with multiball playfield multipliers.

This game offered so much more than its competition back in the day.

I respect it for its historical contributions and it certainly had some neat ideas. I still think people overrate it and the game quickly becomes, get to the upper playfield, lock a ball, repeat.

Hercules is right up there.

#90 5 years ago

Stick me on a deserted island with any working pinball machine and I will think that it is at least ok.
But there was one working machine that I almost walked away from...unfortunately that was a Bugs Bunny...I think it was made for pre-teens...

#91 5 years ago

Motordome is the absolute worst. I really tried to like it but the sounds completely ruined it.

I like Breakshot. But you have to treat it like an EM. The one I played at a show was an extremely nice example that played fantastic, which really helps.

Big Casino wedgehead.

It was also one of the ugliest.

#95 5 years ago

I actually like Big Guns, Farfalla, and Breakshot (I have owned all three).

I have a hard time believing that someone would put Bugs Bunny ahead of any of the above machines.

Agreed. That guy is high. Whoa Nellie is perfect.

Turds I've played off the top of my head include SF2, Stern SW, Wrestlemania, Hurricane,

Hurricane is such a waste of a great Python Anghelo art package. I owned one for a year and was glad to see it leave. The terrible music is still stuck in my head somehow.

Quoted from Aurich:

I hate to say this, because it makes me feel bad since I love Charlie and Spooky, but easily Rob Zombie. I've played hundreds of different games, from all eras, and very few times do I walk away without finishing my game.

I take it you haven’t played Thunderbirds. It makes Rob Zombie look like a masterpiece.
