It's a sad day for pinball then PTC doesn't make the list.
Mirror blades, shaker motor, custom Fred Young call outs. Huge interactive topper. CGC is leaving money on the table if they don't do PTC next.

Another vote for PTCR or EFLR !

Disclaimer : Yes I'm bored at work. CGC is doing such a good job on their games that tech support is almost non existent.
Quoted from ralphs007:but I’ve read a lot of post about how hard this game is to keep running?
Don't believe everything you read. Properly maintained no harder that any other game.
LTG : )
Quoted from taylor34:shortfalls in production happen sometimes, usually not for 5 consecutive years though,
I'm sure they don't like the surprises that pop up either. A reliable manufacturer all of a sudden produces inferior parts. All of a sudden a manufacturer you've dealt with for years disappears and you have to find a new one that can make your parts in small quantities compared to say what an automobile manufacturer would order.
And this was happening pre covid. Which that made things even worse.
And some parts have to be made up from the start because engineer drawings weren't quite accurate or missing. And also many things were improved upon like the drop target assembly for CCR.
Believe me CGC would like to have smooth sailing through all of this. But they have to build pinball machines in the real world.

Quoted from TechnicalSteam:Anyone else hear whisperings of Twilight Zone remake..
No. I only listen for PTC or EFL noises.
LTG : )
Quoted from Budman:I thought there was going to be another MM run this Fall?
Ryan's podcast or video about it said 2023.
LTG : )
Quoted from Bublehead:What’s next CGC? Bankruptcy-
No way. They are in great shape in spite of the delays.
LTG : )
Quoted from Bublehead:Now where’s ToMrLE?
No idea if it's in the plans. For my business, I hope so too !
LTG : )
Quoted from Richard-NBA-SF2:Not sure what to think of that.
Pretty good since it isn't April 1st yet.
LTG : )
Quoted from transprtr4u:If there are 6 other manufacturers potentially getting a shot at remakes..
I don't think Rick was talking about the style of remakes CGC is working on.
They are involved with Haggis. And the Funhouse 2.0 kit. So I'd be more thinking along those lines and or BBB, KP, and PC ?
Not likely but I'm still hoping for PTCr or EFL !
LTG : )
Quoted from mostater:I notice you didn't put an "r" after EFL.
Yup.
Quoted from mostater:So this would mean an original title, right?
Nope.
Quoted from mostater:What does EFL mean?
Can you keep a secret ?
Good. So can I.
LTG : )
Quoted from pch3727:I don't know what PTC
Please good sir. Let me assist you.
PTC - aka as Punchy The Clown. Whose call outs were made famous by Fred Young. Whose voice is heard in a couple hundred pinball machines.
Thousands of people are hoping for a PTCr - a remake. New programming, RGB lighting, interactive clown head topper. The works.
Some day our voices will be heard ! And we will be vindicated.
LTG : )
Quoted from jfh:Never say never but I’ll be quite surprised TZ is ever remade. But there is a group of people absolutely convinced it’s next.
A much bigger and more vocal group are convinced that PTCr is next.
LTG : )
Quoted from jfh:I’ll be rooting for you Lloyd. You should get the first one off the line.
Thank you !
I just hope Ryan doesn't shoot me for letting the clown out of the bag.
LTG : )
Quoted from PtownPin:Its the only logical explanation or that your actually a CGC employee
When he started this thread and maintains the FAQ, he probably meant well.
I do wonder with what has gone on here and the attacks he's endured. Would he ever do it again ?
LTG : )
Quoted from EZ-Rhino:rumor mill is that CGC's relationship with PPS has soured
PPS posted on Pinside about other companies and other project.
Which could be more kits like Funhouse 2.0, or other projects like Fathom.
So I wouldn't say soured. CGC has two remakes left, which no one knows for sure. So they are doing the same thing planning for the future with their own titles.
Like everyone else. It is exciting and I can't wait.
LTG : )
Quoted from Richard-NBA-SF2:Best case scenario CGC reveals TZ at TPF.
That’s me being optimistic!Richard
I will hope for your sake you are right.
My optimistic is EFL !
LTG : )
Quoted from Bublehead:PTC shoots better… just saying.
I know.
But I was threatened with a thumbs down every time I mention PTC on Pinside.
Ooops. Did it again.
LTG : )
Quoted from GoodOmens:I guess the Mark Ritchie rumors were true. Hope he knocks it out of the park but I'm awaiting MMR-R...
I guess that makes PTCR less likely.
LTG : (
Quoted from mbeardsley:Jim said they have two lines going now.
I assume that one is doing CCr, and the other is doing PF.
That would free up a line to do the MMr run when CCr is complete.
I don't know for fact.
I would assume CCR on both lines, with hiring and training more people to assemble. Then MMR on both lines, and later maybe change one to start PF and train then full steam ahead on both lines for PF.
LTG : )
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:do you know if CGC is planning on making more XL screen to upgrade other classic editions?
No idea, sorry.
LTG : )
Quoted from transprtr4u:Guessing they should have planned before they take on more builds ..
They did. Jim said they have two lines now. They didn't appear by spontaneous combustion.
LTG : )
Quoted from jfh:Any idea who has these? I have a classic AFMr with the color chip and would like to upgrade.
Check with Planetary Pinball Supply - https://www.planetarypinball.com/ - if not on website contact them.
LTG : )
Quoted from John_I:I really wonder if there's any market for remakes once you get away from the '90s Williams Bally?
Especially if their own titles like Pulp Fiction turn out great.
That could help decide their future games.
LTG : )
Quoted from Sorokyl:if they went to a bank and said "we have the license for Medieval Madness! Look at how much these fuckers are selling for used! They could borrow some tens of millions and ramp up production.
You must have a very generous bank. Especially how many games you'd have to sell to pay back tens of millions.
And ramp up takes time. They added a second line. Hiring and training people, especially for assembly, isn't easy. Look how many people Stern lost on their last move. Not everybody wants to travel across Chicago for assembly work.
CGC's working at it.
LTG : )
Quoted from BoilerUp:LTG I’m just gonna leave this here for you and back away slowly…
See prices are rising. People are dumping them. All signs of a remake coming.
LTG : )
Quoted from PtownPin:I wouldn't be surprised if PP never does business with CGC in the future.
Except for games and parts for games.
Quoted from PtownPin:basically blew PP off by agreeing to develop and build PF
Not true. PPS and CGC have had other works in the mix. PPS Funhouse kit, Fathom, Centaur. CGC Pulp Fiction, Dennis Nordman game, and a few others.
No idea of the schedule but we'll see at some point other remakes, and games specific to either company.
LTG : )
Quoted from V8haha:Does anyone know is Planitary pinball still have the Williams license?
Yes they do.
Quoted from V8haha:Will they make more remakes moving forward?
That was the plan. In addition PPS is working on other projects like Funhouse 2.0 kit, and Fathom ( and Centaur ? ) and CGC will make some independent games too like Pulp Fiction and others.
