Couldn't find a price check section on PINSIDE.

Need to thin the herd some. Basically brand new HOBBIT SMAUG GOLD with only 33 plays.
Slid out of box, set up, hasn't moved.

Has 2.96 Code. And all fixes and preventive stuff done from Jersey Jack.

What's the range for this?

Thanks

I'd guess around$7k for a smaug, and $6500 for the LE models.

Although, I love Hobbit, so I wouldn't sell mine for that.

#3 4 years ago

The average sale price is close to $6,500.
I paid closer to 6K.

#4 4 years ago

most listings ive seen have been around 6800-7k

#5 4 years ago

6500-7k Is what this model usually sells for. Sold mine recently for 6800 and know of a few others that sold and ranged from 6600 to 7100. Its a great game and offers alot in that price range.

$6500

I would say all models except the standard are worth 6,800-7,200...I wouldn’t sell my Hobbit for anything less. GLWS

Traded my 5,000+ play Smaug for a HUO Aerosmith Premium and $700.

I’ll tell you what the worth is....

It’s worth playing a buttload of games on in before you let it go!

I paid $6,900 for an HUO, single owner, Hobbit Smaug in like-new condition w/ only 100 plays on it a couple of months ago.

No regrets whatsoever. GREAT game!

#12 4 years ago

Yeah you'll get some guys who point to a Hobbit sold at 5800 or 6k meanwhile probably all beat up or doesn't have the fixes etc.

This game smaug and BA is 6800-7200 period. Believe me just sold mine.

#13 4 years ago

$6500-$6800

#14 4 years ago

Your game is worth the same as one with 1000 games on it

#15 4 years ago

If we had more pics, we'd be able to give you a better idea...

#16 4 years ago

guess you didn't like it

About this much

Start at 7.2k and don't go lower than 6.8k

If you like the pin you won't get the price you think it is worth.

Not necessarily true. If the 1000 plays caused playfield wear then this could be with more. Maybe it's not to you however there are other collectors who want NIB and this is pretty much as close as you can get. As someone who sold some games with very low plays I was told by the buyers the reason they were buying mine over others was the low plays and condition.

#20 4 years ago

Wanna trade with Munsters LE? Also just few plays and as good as new...

#21 4 years ago

I don't see how you managed 33 games. That's pretty heavy use for a Hobbit.

#22 4 years ago

I got $6000 cash on the Glass, (probably worth $6700-7100)

#23 4 years ago

$6500 - $7500. Can be anywhere in that range depending on location, how many are available, condition (yours is like new), etc.

Any game that has playfield wear after only 1000 games do not buy at any price

In 33 games 46 ball searches.
I have no Hobit, so i ask the owners here, is it normal for this pin to search a ball so often.

Super exclusive ad from the Pinside Marketplace!

Smaug LE for $6700.00 with radcals and pinblades and plastic protectors and Titan rubbers installed. Perfect condition. Less than 500 plays. No problems with ball searches here.
Although, I do not have the new left wire form, beast pop up door brackets or the heavy duty drop target springs. Have to install those yet.

#27 4 years ago

I feel like my standard answer for questions like this is - if you never played it, it must not be worth much. I'll take it off your hands for a fee.

Are you selling your machine? If you are,let me know.

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that I just bought it this week.

#31 4 years ago

If it only had fewer plays it would be worth more!

This, $6500 might take a long time to sell where $6k would be much more likely

That’s a minimum of 18 hours of wear , possibly 36 hours if he’s good!

An $8500,00 HOBBIT SMAUG GOLD with only 33 plays? Have a look...

I'd say it could range anywhere from Hardbody money to a Wonka Bar with a gold ticket.

#36 4 years ago

Sold my HUO Black Arrow (but kept the invisiglass) for 6k. My Indy was happy, my bank account was furious. My brain was ecstatic to free up the slot for a game I enjoyed more. Really tried to like it, just didn't click.

Maybe 33 games since the last code update? But a code update should reset all the audits, right?

6 months later
#38 3 years ago

This is now FS. $7500. Can wrap, pallet and ship anywhere.

#39 3 years ago

Your ad says 33 plays still.

You haven’t played this in 6 months?!

#40 3 years ago

So, people said 6800 and after six months the price went up? Hrmm.

Quoted from dung:

I wondered that as well. Why ask what its worth only to ignore the replies? 7500 is getting a bit too high... and that's coming from a Hobbit owner/lover.

#42 3 years ago

I would do $6000 COG anytime your ready. I could be there in 4 Hours. Let’s do it!!

I’ll raise you $6100

#44 3 years ago

I would guess he asked to get some subjective pointers and feelers. then, since in most cases when making ads for games ppl will underbid, then he has some leverage if he sets it as 7500, if he can go down to 6800+

#45 3 years ago

Reraise to $6200 COG.
