    Found the subject chip and think it either a 6800 or 6820/6821. It's rather difficult to read the numbers beyond Motorola. What is it: 5A8072 or 5A8972 -- hard to tell. It's a 40 pin chip.

    Gentlemen, thank you very much. This chip was mixed with some other oddly marked 40 pin items. One of them was a CM601P which turned out be an old Russian version of a 6800.
