Looks like their sharp little teeth are gnawing at some of the box.
Quoted from cosmokramer:Momma can barely fit 8 pups at feeding time now...we begin the process this week of weening them off milk and onto mushy puppy food...
What a great experience this has been....
[quoted image]
They are quite active now and play all the time, the box can barely hold everybody...

LabrAdorable!
My sister brought her lab to visit last weekend as a "practice dog". I guess it was OK.
Thinking about getting one but not sure if I'm up for the hassle. I like dogs, but I don't see them as people, practice kids or any of the other nonsense people do. Worried I'd see it as an annoyance and not a pal.
Any suggestions?

You sound like a cat may be a better fit.

LMAO! I was gonna say, if you're starting off with that attitude, I hope for the dog's sake you don't get one

Ben, one thing you could do is contact the local rescue group and see if you could foster a dog and then you would get to see if you want to keep one (or that particular one) as a buddy based on that experience.

These are both really good suggestions. Dogs are a really big commitment. One of the things that can be tough is finding it a place to stay when you go out of town. We rely on family and friends on the rare occasions we need help, but it would be tough if we traveled more frequently.
Birds are another pet suggestion. There are some really cool breeds, but they should be heavily researched before making that leap, as well.

Yes, and please don't get one if you don't have the time to spend with it and to supervise it. I love dogs but right now I'm dealing with a neighbor that has a Jack Russell puppy and it is just outside barking non-stop (I'm currently in Florida so no cold weather to worry about) most of the day. It also keeps digging under my fence and coming into my yard to bark some more and annoy the shit out of my dogs, not to mention f'n up my new landscaping. The owner knows this as she came out one day to call the dog back into her yard and made a comment about it but the next day it was left to just dig right back under it again. Don't be this kind of dog owner, please!
Quoted from Zablon:Seriously though.. Recently got this guy for the mother in law.. Fred.

I bet she really likes him!

Fred is an unusual name for a woman.

I'm curious what breed are they?
The decision has been made, this one is ours. We are keeping the girl who always greets us with a wagging tail when we get close to the pen (they outgrew the box last week). She is the largest girl, looks just like her momma and is the dominant pup in the litter. Oh, and she is amazing....
Meet Stella...

I wanted to share another pic of Reagan and Stella, they are bonding well and will provide each other with love and companionship. Reagan loves tennis balls more than anything else and it looks like Stella is going to follow in mommas footsteps...
Quoted from Elevatorman:I didn't bring him home today but he loves watching pinball...
This is Cooper at a young age and after he has grown up...lol

Very cute, is he a standard poodle?
Quoted from dmbjunky:Molly's a great name to yell for her to come. That's usually how I name a pet.
Love Bassett hounds. Parents had one named Allis after the tractor and one before that named Belle. Here's some pics of Allis.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Next one is...Chalmers.
Quoted from Zablon:We brought this cute little bugger home today. Someone abandoned him in a kennel in this winter vortex we've been having. He was nearly frozen solid, but seems to be thawing out nicely. Real cuddly too.[quoted image]
That Thing must be a Kurt Russell terrier.

They change color like the Wizard of Oz horse?
I get to bring this one home next weekend when she is ready. We are trying to figure out a name for her. If we can figure out a cute pinball related name, we might go with it. Maybe Replay or Token for a name. Any other short pinball related names come to mind?

Bumper.
LTG : )

How about Flipper, Bumper, Target, Switch, Annie (for Asteroid Annie)? Elektra? Bally? Andromeda? Nellie (for Whoa Nellie)?
Emma Jean is getting older and it was time to bring in some new blood.
Khaleesi is half lab, half australian shepherd.
The other day Emma helped her dig up an old bone that she sniffed out.
Loves terrorizing our precious little kitty.
Shes a handfull and a half but we love her.

Thats too bad Eric, we would have loved to home one of the pups with you. We are getting ready to set up the first "puppy reunion" next month, I am looking forward to seeing the babys again.
Oh, and by the way, we stayed with the name "Stella" for just a few days...it just didnt fit, so we gave her a name that fits her perfectly...
Rebel
Heres Rebel and Reagan taking it easy yesterday after racing around the park all morning...

As you can see they very much love each other.
We didn't go with a pinball themed puppy name. Her name turned out to be "Tequila". Once you see the video, you'll understand. Day 2 paper training wasn't going as good as we would have imagined. She thought of her own way of dealing with the paper. But she did learn a lesson. You need to be able to see where you are going while you are running. She ran into the fireplace tools near the end of the video. Pretty funny, she had some fun.
