I hope you are booking a few vacation days off work

This would be my pick for a two only pinball collection. I've never read or watched the movies but I do enjoy playing LOTR even though the ball times can be longer. Creech is one of my all time favorites because it always leaves me and guests pissed off because they were one shot away from cashing out 4x Super Jackpot.

    TZ and NGG

If I ever get a AFM it would be AFM and TZ

    .

Depends how you set them up. Look at some of the videos of Spiderman in tournament play. Ball times are very low.

I have Scared Stiff and Elvira and the Party Monsters side by side and I like those two together.

That's a tough call but... Medieval Madness and Tron.

    #111 2 years ago

    Probably mb and afm .

    #114 2 years ago

Thats funny i just got rid of my imve and luci for mb and afm.

    #115 2 years ago

    WH20 + STLE

    #116 2 years ago

MM and AFM. That could change soon when I pick up Hobbit, ACDC and METLE

    #117 2 years ago

    IM & IJ

    #119 2 years ago
    Quoted from Hazoff:

I would buy a Met and re theme it to Slayer and I think FH. Gottlieb's would be Gladiators and Genesis, or Robowar and TX sector. tough question

You and I are cut from the same cloth.

    TZ & TAF
    AFM & WOZ

    Tspp & fish tales

I like this. A deep stop and go game paired with a fast flow game without breaking the bank.

I am considering switching ft up though. Any suggestions in what would go well with a tspp by its side? I have ideas already.. sm, congo, fh, rs, tom, titles like these. Ft will either get sold, or put in a storage spot.

    Any suggestions dudes?

How about Iron Man, which is brutal and fast, nicely offsetting Simpsons.

TOM and TOTAN. The two games compliment each other perfectly. Great artwork, super fun unlicensed themes, unique toys and use of magnets, and fast flowing satisfying shots. I know Jpop isn't too popular right now but these two are absolutely two classics.

One short ball time game and one long ball game:

    Short: IM, Tron, or TWD

    Long: LOTR, SM, GoT

If you like music pins there are choices on both sides there as well. Same for Bally/Williams games.

Love your short list. For long I would go - IJ, Hobbit, ST.

I would get bored of the same two forever. I would be very happy with 2 games and trade one out every six months.

My first games were Spider Man, STTNG and TZ. Good times for sure!

    #132 2 years ago

    TZ and LOTR

    #133 2 years ago

    TSPP and TMNT

Just kidding. I am trying to switch out my TMNT for a T2 but would ultimately like to have AC/DC Premium or Met Pro next to TSPP

    #134 2 years ago

I currently have a TSPP and a Tron. Good combination, but I don't think there really is any combination I could do for life. I like rotating my games personally.

    #135 2 years ago

    TZ and TAF

    #136 2 years ago

TZ and LOTR for obvious reasons.

    #137 2 years ago

    IM and LOTR
I don't think there's a better couple than that. But if if you can add a Tron to the party it's even better!

It may be cliche, but that doesn't mean it is wrong.

WOZ and TAF - the two I can't imagine every selling

    #140 2 years ago

Firepower and Jungle Princess - none of this new age stuff needed!

    #141 2 years ago

I tried to do a little tally (it was somewhat difficult given the many non-definitive answers but I did my best) and with my votes for WOZ and LOTR, the current tally looks like this.
    LOTR 25
    MET 21
    TZ 20
    MM 15
    WOZ 13
    TSPP 12
    AFM 12
    IM 12
    TAF 11
    MB 9
And then everything else is less.

That's a top 10 and seven of them are in the top 10 on the Pinside top 100. Perhaps WOZ, TSPP and IM are underrated? I always say that I feel like WOZ is a top 5 pin and this appears to support that to a degree.

    #142 2 years ago

MB and STTNG for me. Maybe swap GB Prem for STTNG, but definitely MB.

    #144 2 years ago

    MET and LOTR

3 months ago it would have been IM and LOTR, but since I got MET, IM has not been getting nearly as much love.

    #145 2 years ago

It would be the two games I've kept the longest, the 2 that have seen others come and go over the past 6 years. LOTR and STTNG. They just never get old, whereas other games start getting that ehh feeling in that 6 months to 2 year mark, depending on the game, even though I may have thought they could be best ever at one point.

Revenge from Mars and Haunted House

    #148 2 years ago

I went from thinking IM and LOTR, to MET and LOTR... but after owning them both I think it would now have to be Tron and LOTR. Unfortunately I don't have a LOTR yet, am out of space, and can't bring myself to get rid of anything for it. Life is hard haha.

    Quoted from taz:

One short ball time game and one long ball game:

same; or to rephrase it: on "journey" and one "adrenaline" pin.
    - Journey: WoZ, LOTR, WOOLY
    - Adrenaline: ACDC
