Pick any two pins. These are the only two pinball machines you will be able to play for the rest of your life.

Let's not worry about repairs for now. On gameplay alone, what would you pick?

I think my personal 2-machine collection would be Medieval Madness and Wizard of Oz.

Medieval Madness has great flow and is less mode based. Wizard of Oz has super deep rules and is more stop-and-go. I think that between these two machines, there is plenty of gameplay variety.

At first I thought IMPOSSIBLE!!! But then I realized these were just two in a possibly ever rotating larger collection.

Sooo, for me the two pins I would happy be stuck for life with are:
    WOZ and Monster Bash.

Pick one from each to complement each other.

    AFM/MM - for flow.
TZ/WOZ - for stop and go.

Another vote for Metallica and Star Trek. Two great games from two of the best designers in pinball, different enough to keep you interested, and between the two of them you get a "greatest hits" collection of both traditional and modern pinball features. Go for the premiums if you can, but (unlike some other recent titles) the pros don't feel overtly decontented and don't really penalize you in terms of game play (though you'd probably want to install spinners in met).

Since this is a personal preference.
    Midevil Madness
    Wizard of Oz

    Fish Tales

Mark Ritchie and his criss-cross ramps bring a visceral tight flow, while the games offer equal parts stop and go. Love these decks, and both are nailed to the floor of 24 Hour Arcade!
