This is my ideal saturday night. Thr wife is inside the house, and I'm in the garage having some fun giving my first and only pin SF2 the first cleaning its probably seen since it was made.

Stripping it down, replacing broken subways, cleaning plastics and waxing it. Then when comets leds come in next week, going to put those in!

Working on a Quicksilver and a Bobby Orr Power Play both are contracted restores and both will looks and play like new when done. After those, maybe I can get into my NOS clearcoated playfield pile to do some playfield swaps for my own collection of Classics. =)

I've been working on a crazy import Bride of Pinbot that is thankfully almost done!

#10 8 years ago

Maybe my Police Force. Haven't decided either to try and restore this Sandy Flood victim, or part her out. New center ramp, drop decals, LEDs, spinner decals etc. are all sitting here. Not the best loved system 11 but a cool pin never less.~SpOoKy

I have an Earthshaker, DE Simpsons, and Sorcerer torn down, all removed parts cleaned up, playfields in the process of touching up & polishing (I'm leaving the mylar on for now), big order for PBL this week. Also sprucing up a Pinbot little by little in between. This would all be SO much easier if I had the room for it.

Chris and I are currently working/not working on a Bowling Queen EM. We haven't really started it but we will! Next up is Addams after she finishes her run at the Minnesota State Fair.

bone busters. I am looking to throw in a swemmer board and freshen it up. I figure this title is worth it. I cannot wait.

I am doing a basic cleaning of a High Speed. I am going to try and level some inserts, and rebuild the pop bumpers and flippers.

I have a buddy who has a little spray booth in his basement. I may try to entice him to sand and repaint the cabinet, if I can find some good stencils.

#28 8 years ago

Always have way to many projects, I'm accepting the fact that I'm a bit ADD.

Right now 2 are on the front line, Bride of Pinbot which is a complete teardown and rebuild, and an EAPTM which is getting the same treatment. I've also got a Back to the Future and Surf N' Safari disassembled waiting their turn and several EM's in different stages of restoration, including a Bowling Queen, 1950 Bank a Ball, Ace High, and 2 Capt Fantastics.

#31 8 years ago

Parts are arriving for a full TSPP shop out.

#32 8 years ago

Working on my FunHouse restore. Playfield needs a second coat of clear and I'm working on color matching the decal paint for the cabinet.

#33 8 years ago

Currently have 2 going. Bad idea (just because of placement) but Sopranos and Game SHow.

Completed the rebuild of power driver boards, display driver board, new transformer GI harness, GI molex Trifurcon connectors and new header pins on interconnect boards. Ramps are new, new flipper mechanisms, all new pop bumpers. all new drop targets and decals, and new CPR Playfield plastics.

I have been working on my Jurassic Park. I have been working on the blown out scoop holes. The hardest part is to match the colors since I am color blind (Cliffys will be covering the area anyway, but I wanted to build up the wood so the Cliffys don't deform). My wife spent the summer in Florida, so I was texting her cell phone pictures to have her help me mix the colors.

While I have it torn down, I decided to make several mods (lighted backboard, lighted banner plastic, and east dock sign) which have slowed me down. I am on lighted backboard attempted 2.0 after a 1.0 fail...

Dallas people coming out of the woodwork all over the place on Pinside lately...Nice work. That yellow looks spot on, and like you said, the rest will be covered anyways.

This is my new turd-to-not-turd conversion project. Yes, the ENTIRE original playfield is planked like that. That's WOOD.

Isn't CPR coming out with Medusa playfields soon? I've got a lot more NOS clearcoated playfields that couldn't fit into that pic like Stingray, Quick Draw, Mata Hari, Bobby Orr Power Play, Eight Ball. Just need a boat load of time to do them all.

Nice take on pinball rotisserie cart. Can the playfields rotate around too or you just physically lift them out and flip them over?

Nah. You'll figure it out I promise. It just might get maddening at some points. Just take lots of pics so you can see what it's supposed to look like for reassembly. The next game you do will seem like a piece of cake now!!

It's my most fun part of the hobby, working on these old games--particularly since I kind of stink at playing them. Today I'm trying to track down a speech issue on my space shuttle. Right now most of the speech sounds garbled, a bit like Darth Vader. In truth I kind of like the way it sounds but want to get it back to normal.

Im almost done on a full firepower restore cab rebuild and paint, every insert levelled and repaired, most the wiring repaired or replaced, many new mechs and nearly all coils, every connector replaced, boards repaired and future proofed, metal work replated, new cpr plastics, new backglass, new repro bumper caps, and in the last couple weeks had a change of mind and decided to clear the pf. Just waiting for the boards to come back due to a fault that was beyond me then its a case of getting my expert to come out and see what ive done on the pf which is causing a short.

Gorgar and Time Machine are both waiting for parts.
