I live in New York, so I'm fortunate to have access to many amazing places to play pinball. I've tried pins like Pinball Circus, Big Bang Bar, Cactus Canyon and Big Lebowski. Yet there are a few white whales that I'd love to try just once, sometimes they aren't even that rare, but just not in the areas I've been to. Whenever I travel to a new city, I open Pinball Map on my phone and see if there are any on my list nearby.

Here are a few of ones I'd never played but would love to:

-City Slicker
-Flintstones
-Kingpin
-Strange Science
-Gilligan's Island
-Full Throttle

I've recently crossed the following off my list:
-Congo
-Pinball Magic
-Nightmare on Elm Street
-Johnny Mnemonic
-Radical
-Mousin' Around

What pins would you love to try, but never had a chance? Or if you've played it before, haven't played it for a very, very long time?

Considering location pinball in my area is essentially nonexistent, i consider myself lucky for being able to play as many machines as i have, including rarer ones like Varkon, TBL, Pinball Circus, etc. and several of the great homebrew machines out there.

That said, for true white whales i guess Krull or Atari Roadrunner would be two i would really like to try out along with a few uncommon EMs.

Paragon, oddly enough, is a much more common machine that has eluded me. If there's one at a show or arcade I'm at, it always seems to be out of commission whenever I'm around and if i skip a show i find out later that there was one there and it was working the whole time. Oh well.

Congo. And it's crazy that it's still on my list. I've been in front of 3 of them, none of them functional. I have no big expectations. I only want to play it to cross it off. I think that and Alien are the only 2 in the current top 100 I haven't played.

Some day.

TBL for sure.

MB.
MM.
CC.

Also, Prospector. I had one that wouldn't boot, but didn't know what to do with an EM. Looked like a sweet game to play though.

EMs a-plenty!

Notably, those rare EMs that were made well into the Solid State era. They always seem elusive and very interesting. Games like Gemini and TKO come to mind.

Quirky Solid State games always draw me as well. Pretty much all of the Zaccaria games always catch my eye, and I've hardly played any.

Keeney's Arrowhead. Never saw one in person.

Although I do have Williams Arrow Head and it is an outstanding game.

TNA right now. That game looks rad.

King Kong comes to mind.

Ritchie Rich, Aaron Spelling, Joel Silver, Kabuki, Arnon Milchan... all those weird DE one offs based on other games might be kinda cool.

Oh yeah... KRULL!!!!

I've been lucky enough to play most solid state titles. Really just the real low production and oddball titles for me: Kingpin, King Kong, Captain Nemo, etc

#23 6 years ago

I was able to cross many off my list at the VFW show. To bad I only had a few hours, but I was able to knock out 40 games in about 3hrs by playing a single game with my fiancee. My focus was mainly early solid state.
Next year I will make a weekend out of it and get tickets for every day.

Dialed in, rob zombie ( both times I had a chance to play it, the ball got stuck within seconds of the first ball being launched, the ball was unobtainable by shaking) & TNA. mainly I just wish I had more time on a lot of earlier solid state machines. Sadly for EM's there aren't many places to play unless you know collectors in your area. I really hope CGC has kingpin on their remake list. otherwise I don't see getting to play that one ever.

Between our local league's collections and CAX, VFW, EXPO, Pinburgh and Allentown, I've managed to try many machines over the past few years.

But:

Zingy Bingy
Wizard Blocks
Widebody Addams Family
The Matrix

Atari Road Runner and 4X4

If there's a pin out there I haven't played, I wanna try it.
