Just curious as a newer collector what people have regretted letting go and why?

My first Hokus Pokus. It was my first EM ever, happens to be a great game and the playfield/overall condition was flawless.

Sold it to a great guy though. Hope he still has it.

I bought a second one and repainted the cabinet. Maybe someday I'll own a 3rd one.

The Shadow. Under rated movie. Fantastic pinball machine.

Every one, except the ones I hated. So, every one !!

10 years in the hobby, and so far no regrets selling anything. Only a couple I miss a bit having at my house, but they were sold to friends within 10 miles, so I can still visit them often enough.

If i knew then (pre internet days) what i know now, i could have kept it running

I've only sold a few and no regrets yet but me and a friend have agreed on a price for my ft for a sale in a few months and I think I might regret selling it but you cant keep them all.

Johnny Mnemonic, Lethal Weapon and Party Zone. Yeah, I like the weird ones lol.

    #16 3 years ago

TAF, STTNG, Junk Yard, Spider man Vault

    Tron, Avatar LE

You never disliked a single one? That’s awesome.

That’s a awesome way to sell a pin, with visitation rights lol

I’m not keen on the theme, it’s pretty though and I want to play one and get my wife to play one and see how we like it, I keep hearing such great things about it.

LoTR. I won’t be missing her much longer though.

    #28 3 years ago

DW, TH, TAF, CFTBL. Bought both DW and TH again eventually. TAF is just way too expensive now to be worth it, and CFTBL May make a return appearance. Every other game I’ve pretty much decided to get rid of within a few days of buying

LOTR for me as well. LOVE the theme and the game, but unfortunately had to sell it a few years ago for financial reasons. Now can't afford it anymore. When I purchased it it was only $4.5k, now can't even see any for anything less than $6.5k. Maybe someday.

TSPP. Had to sell for money and space. Deepest rule set ever.

Yep - in a perfect world, I wouldn't have sold any.

    SIGH

Hang Glider...one of the best EM’s!

    #35 3 years ago

Funhouse. Only game I owned that the wife actually liked and played.

    #36 3 years ago

Original Australian delivered MM - needed extra cash to help swing a container load of machines and MM was at peak pricing (pre remake).

    #37 3 years ago

    Funhouse
    Tron LE
    RBION

    #38 3 years ago

    Centaur,Medusa,Flash Gordon

    #39 3 years ago

    Quicksilver

    #40 3 years ago

The top of my list I would say TWD, LOTR, TZ, Shadow, and DW.

Games I sold that I don't super mega miss are few. I like Iron Maiden, but don't have to play that ever again. Same for Ironman. JM is fine but not ever coming back. Fish Takes is cute but don't think I have to have it back. Family Guy. Love the designer and theme, but damn that game is pretty bare.

AMH because it was unique and was my daughter's favorite.

    #42 3 years ago

    None of them.

I regret buying a second DE SW.

    #43 3 years ago

    Earthshaker!

    #44 3 years ago

I can’t say there are any. Otherwise, I would not have sold them! Also, I can always track down another (whatever title).

I miss the quirkyness of Star Trip. I do miss that game sometimes and then immediately remember how awkward it is to move around and then decide I never need another one.

    So, nope. None of them.

    Why the regret?

    #46 3 years ago

I regret selling Every Game.....Except Laser Wars

    #47 3 years ago

STTNG. Its been 20 years ago and I still ask the owner to sell it back to me, almost weekly. Its not going to happen so the hunt is on.

    #48 3 years ago

I don't really regret selling any, as I had to to buy the pinball machines I have now. If given the chance though, I wouldn't mind owning Cybernaut again.

    #49 3 years ago

Most likely the nib Family Guy.

    #50 3 years ago

Banzai Run. Only ran across one, and most likely will not run across another for a reasonable cost.
