What pin or pins do you regret selling and why?

Did you make a trade for something you ended up not liking, was there some mode you really loved, maybe you just didn't realize how much a pin had grown on you or were you strapped for cash?

Were you able to get that pin back?

Discuss!

I was sad to see my Taxi go, but I can only have four at a time so if I want to shake things up one has to leave. I promised myself I would get another one in collector quality condition in ten years.

2 games I regret:

Sinbad. First game I owned, and while I loved it, I had my newbie eyes on deeper, newer games. After going through a few different eras, I realized early SS is my sweet spot for owning and I actively sought one out again. Finally ended up with a second one in much better shape than my first.

Flash Gordon: one of my favorite games of all time, and I knew I would regret letting it go the moment the deal was offered. I got an amazing trade deal out of it so I couldn't refuse, but I've been looking for another in equal or better shape the instant it left. Just a fantastic effing game that I miss everyday.

I sold a perfect "Flicker". Bummer.

My first BSD. I replaced it with another tho.

Out of all the games I have had...

My first Indy 500. Got another one that is even nicer!

Card Whiz. Between this 2 player and the 4 player Royal Flush, I can find another one again relatively easily. I just have to wait for the right deal.

Other than that... I'm good.

TFLE
Need to get it back.

IJ, TOM, TOTAN, CFTBL and WH2O. All sold for under $2k per game (many, many years ago). I really miss TOTAN the most though.

Williams Blackout. This was my first pin. Upgraded all the electronics to bullet proof it... but then I thought that I wanted something newer. Turns out, I like the simplicity of the old SS era. Been looking to acquire one again but nothing has come up nearby. I've never regretted selling any other pin... so I guess that means something.

JUDGE DREDD.

Williams Defender is probably the only game I'd like to have back some day. It was very unique in game play.

#13 8 years ago

Swords of Fury-I've had separation anxiety ever since I sold it.

#15 8 years ago

Champion pub shouldn't have done it.I only sold for 3 grand too.

Addam's Family

It was my first pin and a gorgeous example of it. I actually tried to buy it back from the owner a few years later. I had to do some detective work to even find the person I sold it too. He is the co-owner of one of the local skihills around me. I finally tracked him down after a couple weeks through one of his assistants, but he didn't want to sell it, even offered him 2k more than I sold it to him for haha...

Safe Cracker for me...I got a pretty good deal on it and then sold it to help pay off a bill. Probably should have kept it and found the money a different way. Pretty sure I won't find one again for the price I originally paid. I recently sold my LOTR and thought I might miss it more than I do but I really don't.

EATPM for me.

JM.

It may be a very under-appreciated title, but man, you get a lot of game for a decently low price. Still looking for one to this day. Had to sell it to pay for my transmission back in 2012.

Dunno, never sold one!

This is me 2 years in the future......BSD. Ha.Knowing what I know now and 2 years into the future so glad to hang on to Vlad.

#22 8 years ago

High speed. So classic!

#23 8 years ago

The Addams Family. It was a necessary sacrifice when I was shopping for Monster Bash. Nevertheless, I'd love to have one back in the lineup someday. I love pretty much everything about that game.

I also regretted parting with BSD and CFTBL... so I eventually wound up replacing both.

Almost perfect Black Knight, Swords of Fury and Black Rose.

#25 8 years ago

WWFRR.

I sold it too quickly after getting it. The software stunk, but it sure was fun to shoot.

#26 8 years ago

I'm probably going to end up selling my WPT soon and I'm sure I'll regret it, but I've got some good buying opportunities for games I want more that I won't have money or space for if I don't sell the WPT.

South Park - I was always half torn on PROCing the machine.

#28 8 years ago

Home use only barely played Iron Man, I will get another soon!

#29 8 years ago

Cirqus Voltaire I bought in 1998 . Bad move on my part to let it go. Now the price is to high and the inserts are ghosting on most examples .

In this order:

ACDC Premium - just picked up a Pro, which is great game too!
BSD - bought a second BSD, then sold that one too.
BSD again - bought a third one and it's a keeper.
CV - really miss this one, but won't pay today's market price.
WH2O - great game. Would like another if the prices come down a bit.
POTC - on the hunt for another one.
BDK - on the hunt for another one.

Firepower. Twice. Third time I'll learn my lesson.

I had a documented low play HUO EATPM which I regretted selling. Turns out I sold it under market value too. Bought a very nice replacement one for significantly more about six months later.

Also sold my HUO HH because my wife wanted all the wide body games gone. Then she complained I sold the HH. Fortunately, I was able to buy it back (at a higher price) from the person I sold it too. I did feel bad for the guys that to move it up out of the basement and then back down again.

Has to be Shadow for me. I'll probably never get another one for what they go for. Fantastic game and I've missed it since the minute it left.

#37 8 years ago

A minty Gameplan Andromeda.

#38 8 years ago

NBA. I love it and there aren't that many of them.

#39 8 years ago

BSD missed it immediately. Just replaced it with number 2. Will never sell again ever.

#40 8 years ago

Jackbot, was in awesome nick and a lot of fun to play. Money came first at the time

#42 8 years ago

#44 8 years ago

I never thought id miss my White Water but recently I kinda do. I find it to easy but love the overall package.

#45 8 years ago

The Medieval Madness at the Hall of Fame in Vegas used to be mine, so I'll say, that one. Last I saw, it still had the custom instruction cards I put in it.

#46 8 years ago

Lotr ... Twice

Sigh.

#47 8 years ago

CV I love that game with the home rom, prices also doubled since I sold it so I am not gonna buy another one.

#49 8 years ago

Star Trip. Not that easy to find but someone offered me money I could not refuse for it.
