    Quoted from Tuna_Delight:

All interesting, as I love my Hobbit! While different from that of most games, I find its gameplay to be both fun and immersive. The current code, including being able to set it so that Smaug and Beast multiballs don't play simultaneously, is a big improvement over earlier editions. Absolutely beautiful playfield and lighting too!
No regrets at all. Just sayin'.

I feel the same way, but there will always be lovers and haters of this pin. I don't blame them for not liking it, it just isn't what they like and that's cool. If you buy a pin and hate it then it would be a regret. I've seen some mention Monster Bash, which I would love to own. Different strokes...

    Quoted from TheLaw:

    Agree to disagree.
It's a whole weird set of factors though on both sides. Problem is a game that gets a lot of flack like Hobbit or GB, kind of gets a real rimjob from owners to try to equal it out. The higher the dollar amount and trim levels, the deeper the tonguing it seems.
Now of course, even though I'm a "scientist," my ass eating scale isn't exact.

I think it is more just different opinions, some like it some don't. It is more of that than people trying to tear it down and others trying to counter by raising it up. Though I certainly think some of the latter is happening, but to a lesser extent than just people liking different things.

Also I have never thought about it based on rimjob scientific calculations, but I guess anything that can be said is said on pinside...
