Since I have never ordered from AU I have not heard of them. Any chance these were pulled from the IPB buy out stash?
I'd wait for a remake anyway. If they are NOS they are probably brittle since the originals are not that strong. And shipping would cost more than the part anyway.

Best option as you said is to wait for the remake. PPS has the original documentation and James from PinballInc has the original tooling so clearly it is a win-win situation.
