I have a Flight 2000 and an Eight Ball Deluxe that I want to touch up and more machines too. What do I need? What clear should I use for afterwards?

If you're not using an airbrush, can/should you still use the Createx airbrush paint? If not, what's the best paint to use with a traditional brush? (Yes, I know airbrushing is best...)

Sure, sometimes I use Createx paint with a normal brush.

BUT, you HAVE to get an airbrush if you are going to restore playfields. The time it takes to sand out brush marks, let alone the trying to ease the edge of the thickened brushed paint is insane.

Break out your $9.99 and get yourself a good airbrush before you mess things up:

Vid, what do you think of the quick change airbrush kit from HF? Comes with five cups and a hose...

    Excellent unit.

Almost never clogs, and if it does you pop the handle off the bottle, shoot some air down the nozzle to clear it; then get back to spraying.

What would you recommend for a cheap/functional/compact air pressure solution? I don't have a compressor, and it looks like a couple cans of airbrush air would run almost as much.

Personally, I'd get a used compressor from Craigslist. You can then run an air stapler, air sander, all the good toys needed for playfield swaps.

But if you just want a tiny compressor for cheap (make sure you use the 20% coupon) :

what do you think about the 1/6 HP + the quick change kit vs. the above model you linked (that comes with a bunch of airbrush supplies)?

Get this for $50; you will be glad to have a real air compressor.
