    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

    I collect rare puzzle boxes....

Wow! The apothecary chest is on auction now at over $13K. I collect puzzle boxes too, but the more common variety like the Secret Base Box or the Box With a Tree.

    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

Robert, a long time friend has offered to make a great puzzle box in the shape of a plnball machine, and it would be rudimentary playable to solve

I'd love something like that! Hopefully it will be less than a mortgage payment.

    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

Another Puzzle Fan! We are so few. Here is the Auction going on now: Take a peek.

I've been bidding on the Box with a Key by Akio Kamei, but the bids are getting a bit high now.

After over eight years on the waiting list, this beauty just arrived. So have the clouds.

Thanks Chris. Actually, I had a separate savings account set up and was able to have the cash when the call came. Astro-Physics is all it is rumored to be.

    Quoted from mcluvin:

I'm a huge astronomy fan. Can't say I'm a geek as I don't have the time to devote to it, but I think it is totally cool. Do you have it setup to take pics?
    Chris

No Chris, I have found that astrophotography is not for me. I use astronomy to escape the pressures of real life, so the serenity of visual astronomy suits my needs better. Although this Astro-Physics scope is well suited to it should I ever decide to branch out.

    Quoted from SilverUnicorn:

8 years??!!! Did JJP make it?
LOL, kidding of course, but is that normal for that particular item?
    Congrats! Sorry for the clouds
    Chris

Chris, this scope is crafted by a very small company in Illinois that is owned and operated by an optical genius who doesn't give a hoot how few scopes he produces each year. So, no, the wait for an Astro-Physics scope is not typical. Most other scopes are readily available. Think of this as a specialty item, largely hand made. I will treasure it forever.

PS It is raining again today - The New Scope Curse!

I've started to collect MONDO movie posters. I have Forbidden Planet and The Mummy (Copper) so far.
