Drinking club with a running problem.
I like LEGO a lot. I also mess with model rocketry and R/C stuff. I used to be a serious competitor in rocketry, as nerdy as that sounds.
Muay Thai Kickboxing and Wrestling. Pinball does a great job of keeping me out of shape between fights and tournaments, lol.
Quoted from pinbum:I like to drop acid and then go outside and watch ants mate.
Would have been cooler had you said 'I like to watch bull fights on acid'
Quoted from blownfuse:I collect/restore muscle cars (specifically 1966 Ford Galaxies), pocket watches and a hell of a lot of dust (that I can give away for those that want it).

My Dad's first car was a '66 Galaxy with the 390. How'd you get that specific into things?
Hey,
I've tapered off a bit, but I guess I could throw out going to concerts? I've seen a ton of shows since I was fifteen. Save for Nine Inch Nails and Pantera, I can't think of too many bands that I could have seen, wanted to see, and haven't seen (save for Mogwai, and I have tickets for the Minneapolis show in May, and maybe Steel Panther?). And no, that doesn't mean I segment myself toward harder music. If anyone wants a list, I can rattle one off...
Luke
Rare trees. Music cds. Used to collect coins (imagine old white pinball guys who deer hunt.) Have been to way too many concerts and music cruises. Not good at saving money.

My buddy used to be a LEGO artist though he's sorta retired from it. Do you know Eric Harshbarger?
Quoted from PunishersLEMC:collect lighters
Like any lighter or zippos or what?
I enjoy threads like this because there are hobbies mentioned that I would have never thought about. I once met a guy with a handlebar moustache who had the hobby of collecting antique straight razors. That one stuck with me as a very curious hobby.
Fishing and golfing are the main time wasters for me. Sadly my prowess in both mirror my pinball skills
Quoted from Gryszzz:Nicotine, valium, vicodin, marijuana, ecstasy, alcohol. Oh. And cocaine.
Happy New Years Eve!!!!!
By day I am a greens keeper. I am constantly staring at Mrs. Crane but she is constantly wearing green so she can hide from me (That tramp!). She is such a monkey woman! She is just mean and lean and not to far between I tell ya! Most of my day is spent chasing after gophers ruining the golf course I work at. My dream is to become a Cinderella story at the Master's Championship. I will have to get some golfing tips from my friend Ty Webb. He and I are always doing cannonballs together. I like to swim in pools but Ty says a pond is better for me. My crowning achievement was jumping ship in Hong Kong, to swim over to this golf course in Tibet, on top of the Himalayan mountains. There I met the Dalia Lama. He said when I die, on my deathbed, that I would receive total consciousness. Come over sometime and play pinball with the Dalia Lama and I. Make sure you bring plenty of Baby Ruth candy bars, because they are a favorite of mine since I had this swimming pool incident.
Caddyshk_109Pyxurz.jpgSad, but I do a bunch of stuff already mentioned.
RC airplanes
HO trains
LEGOs
Old Arcade games
Ride a Harley
Etc etc etc
Distance runner and coach. I've done every event from 400m up through the marathon at some point in my life. Most people around my area notice me as the first "white guy" in most races.
Been flying and driving almost anything R/C as long as I have been collecting Pinball and video games.
I have had cars, trucks, planes, helicopters, hot air balloon, paraplanes, sailplanes, battleships, you name it but I never had a submarine but I almost bought one. Mostly now I fly indoor R/C and FPV using video goggles to fly the plane from inside the cockpit with a video camera downlink.

I had to look that up. I am not at all a fan of Queens of the Stone Age.

Skiing, playing ice hockey, playing Go, brewing beer, scuba diving, hiking, and biking are my main interests.
Let's see, aside from pinball it would be following the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the past I have also collected: 8000+ pieces of vinyl (you know: 45's and LP's), 450+ CD's, 491 different beer cans, complete baseball card sets from 1966-1994 with all Traded sets (personal collection) and had five million baseball cards in inventory in my business, focusing on "oddball" cards from rare and almost unknown sets, plus I have had all but two of the "Collector Number" Hot Wheels in my collection along with all but a few of the 1977-1988 "Blackwall Era" Hot Wheels cars. Now? I just play pinball...
And, yes, CaptainFantastic, I DO have a RIAA Certified Gold Record (10,000 Maniacs "In My Tribe" album)...HW ROOM--WALL 6.JPGHW ROOM--WALL 4.JPGHW REP--WITH RARITIES AND 1995 TH SET LOOKING UP.JPG

wow..thats a lot of hot wheels!
we need to have a hot wheels intervention. what do you say, guys? lol
I collect some hot wheels and enjoy looking when I get dragged to walmart, etc, but you sir have a sickness.
I have baseball cards, too [1982-1996 topps] - do you take all your interests to these extremes?
in awe, really.
I'm more of a traveler of hobbies, and pinball is just the latest. Motorcycles, jeeps, inshore fishing, freshwater flyfishing and fly making are somewhat recent. Besides pinball I'm currenty into Olympic weighlifting, hunting (rifle & bow for deer & hog, shotgun for ducks & geese), and sausage making primarily with wild game.
Quoted from stooped:Rare trees.
I have a pure American Chestnut tree orchard on a friend of mine's farm.
Stooped,I tried to Pm you but your pinside mail is disabled
I enjoy working out and playing hockey and basketball...allowing me to drink heavily without putting on too many lbs.
I also just started collecting Vinyl. Any advice from you guys that have been doing it for a long time?
A friend of mine gave me a 7 Litre Galaxie (428) hard top and I liked it so much that I sold my other cars and picked up a 500 convertible, 7 Litre convertible with 4 speed and also a 65 XL hard top. I found a few friends into them as well and we started a local Galaxie club.

I have had different hobbies over the years but my latest is collecting play ground spring rides from the 60's. Specifically Saddlemates from Gametime. But my hobby that has latest the longest, and most consistently, is collecting and playing pinball.
What I find disappointing is that some of my hobbies have very distinct real names that go along with them and pinball doesn't. We need one for pinball! Look at these examples below - they don't have "coin" or anything in their name at all. These are real words you can look up in the dictionary. Travel Token collecting has a name and pinball doesnt?!?
Here are some of my fancy named hobbies.
Collecting U.S. Travel Tokens ("Vecturist")
Collect classic Arcade Tokens (falls under "Exonumatist")
Collect some other coins as well ("Numistmatist")
I built a modular audio/video analog synthesizer (in Eurorack, it's name is "TILT" lol) On their forum we are "Wigglers" (wiggling wires, I guess - their forum is called "Muff Wiggler". Explain that web history to your wife)
And some other hobbies without the fancy names: Photography, movies (and foreign movie posters), freshwater aquarium, everything video, synths, and a couple I would rather not share on a public forum.
For me anymore it is bourbon consuming and collecting (if any of you ever make it this way, I will break out some Pappy for you), bass fishing, golfing, poker, I did race ATVs on the cross country circuit and still build a few engines for other racers from time to time.
Also if you ever had "free tv" on a DirecTV card, I can guarantee you that was due to code that I was writing at the time, got lucky and paid my 3K to the "End User Group" before they ever found out who I was.
I have a lot of hobbies:
I collect and restore pins and vids.
I'm a musician and have a recording studio.
I've been known to collect exotic cars.
Nucore started as a hobby project.
My main hobby is also how I make a living, creating social games for Facebook, iOS and android. The last two games we released have done extremely well and were rated top games of 2012 and 2013 respectively by Facebook. I also work with a number of pinball legends which can also be fun.
Quoted from pinballsmith:I'm into robotics and music. I'm also a wire jewelry artist.

Do you also play Ingress? That jewelry is very close to one of the faction's logo... pretty cool.
