Which MPU board replaces early Pinbot System (a) prototype board?

I am getting mixed info on this. I know Williams released the early Pinbot models with the prototype (system a) MPU board and later the finalized (system A) MPU board. So which modern boards are available to replace the prototype board with? Or is it just a mod that's needed for IJ15?
Thanks

Rottendog board worked for mine, but had sound issues. If yours is a prototype the sound board is different than later machines if I remember, but not positive. Its been a few years.
