So I've had this beauty for a few months now. Time to bullet proof it and consider mods.

Any must have mods for BBB? I'm worried about buying a set of the slide on rings for the left ramp - and accidentally scratching it with install.

Open to suggestions.

Pinbits makes some nice plastic dress up kits for the pop bumpers, tube dancer, ball return tube rings, and clear plastic protectors. Also, Cliffy makes a darts hole protector.

There is also a green or purple DMD option available somewhere that the guy who bought mine installed and looks nice, and I've seen some of them with different inside cabinet wall linings.

I'm a little worried about installing the ball return tube rings. Which pop bumper color do you reckon? I was thinking the green.

The ball return tube rings will not cause damage during installation IF you take your time and install them without excess force; a little bit of plastic-friendly lubricant (liquid hand soap used VERY sparingly) can be used if necessary. The Pinbits kit includes detailed installation instructions.

A Cliffy protector on the Dartz hole is a must; anything else is just window dressing to install as per your individual tastes. The ball return tube rings were not part of the design; they were added to one game (for some VP) to jazz it up. The pop bumper dress up kit does greatly improve the appearance over the stock lokk.

I put this glittery mirrorish decals on the inside of the cabinet and that looks grate. Also, but hardly a mod, I put different colored rubber sleeves (don't know the proper naming) on the lamps that indicate the different modes. So when not lit they're white and when lit they have a different color.

I have a lot of the mods for BBB since I sold my game a while ago. I think I have most of the Pinbits stuff and also the glittery side decals.

PM me if you're interested. Would save you some money and I'd like to clear this stuff out as I don't ever plan on getting another BBB.

I mixed both colors on each pop, to match the playfield artwork

RobertWinter is a long time friend and great seller, make it easy and buy the stuff he has
