Quoted from Nevus:Mustang LE is hard to find. Every time I have cash and space.. none around.
My thought on that is the Mustang community is so large that there are likely a lot of owners of this pin that arent connected to pinball, and this not playing them extensively and wanting to move them. I'll bet we will find a lot of super low play Mistang machines for sale on the distant future.
Sorry man. I had to send my DILE back as well. Backbox was damaged. That was last summer. Fortunately I had a new one in 3 weeks. Hope it comes soon.
Quoted from ralphs007:I couldn't wait to make my first post in this forum.I brought home my first game today. I bought a Dialed In LE.
Amazing first pin to own. Congrats!
Just got home from an epic all day journey. Toddler puke (3 different times!), dog got in the trash at home, truck smelled rancid, 100 degree day, Austin traffic......All Worth It!
I just scored a mint LOTR with 216 balls played (72 games if no extra ball). Spent almost a decade in a storage unit. CL seller who isn't in to the hobby, but an engineer. Nobody has played this game. Bone stock, tested everything, and it's incredibly clean. I tried to buy a different one yesterday from a guy out of state and somebody scooped it up locally. I cant believe I got an even better one a day later! More pics to come. Just wanted to share (and sit down).
Quoted from jesperpark:I was going to say about double what he told his wife he paid for it
I had to give her $500 spending cash before we got in the truck to get it. So you could say it cost me $6k. Deal!
Rephrasing statement:
This is my favorite thread on Pinside. When I see there are new posts I get excited to see your pictures. I'd love to see a shot of your new machine in addition to any other photos you want to post.
I only suggest this to make the thread even more enjoyable for everyone, not to put anybody down. I'm sorry for the snarky tone in this post previously. I look forward to seeing your game pics and sharing in the excitement of your new pin.
Quoted from sixtyfourbits:I understand what point you are getting at, and it is valid. But at the same time, I don’t mind the ‘cabinet only slightly visible’ pics.
It almost makes it a bit of a guessing game as to what they bought, and I think that’s why some members post that way. It’s kind of fun to have to look closely to figure out their new treasure.
I see your point. I just get fatigued when people milk the whole, "guess what I got?" tease. My perspective is, "I probably don't know you and I'm just here for the pics."
But everyone can post what they want. I want to keep it positive. If you're posting to get upvotes (don't lie, you probably are), then tell a cool story or put a little effort in the pics. Game on and Happy hunting!
Quoted from Tallon:Yes, yes it is. And the car pic is because some of us drive 10 hours in a day to grab a machine and get excited
I get it. But you saw the game and looked it over before you crammed it in your vehicle. Snap a photo! I just want to make it exciting. That SS looks really nice.
Quoted from jmountjoy111:PSA: don’t post a bunch of whining complaints about people posting half faced selfies in a 10K post thread that has literally been filled with half faced selfies. I know you think your opinion is the only one that matters and all but the rest of us really don’t care what you think.
My posts on this topic yesterday were not hating on pics that barely have the game in it, but a suggestion that it's even better if we can see the game and that I want to keep it positive.
I've been through every post in this thread over the last few years and the ones that "most of us" have upvoted are the ones with detailed pics of the game and cool narratives (if there is one) on how we got it.
It's Good vs. Better. Not mandatory.
Quoted from nascarrey:Someone always has to be the 'wet blanket' in the thread.
Still the best thread on Pinside!!
Sorry for trying to make it better.
Quoted from jmountjoy111:But but..... he’s only trying to improve the best thread on pinside
I changed the wording on the OP. Reality check: i suggested more game pics and less selfies.
Cut the melodrama and move on.
Finally got to uncrate today's pick up.
