LICK IT UP!
Quoted from herbertbsharp:Spider-man with some surprise googly eyes I didn't see until I got home and unwrapped it, haha!
DSCF2157_(resized).JPGDSCF2159_(resized).JPGDSCF2160_(resized).JPG
Wow, you must have bought from a trusted seller to not view it unwrapped first!
Quoted from Fishbeadtwo:1975 Chicago Coin Super Flipper. Not "real" pinball but pretty dang cool just the same.....
IMG_0601_(resized).JPG
Wow, that sure is unique! Is it a variation of pong?
Quoted from uncivil_engineer:My first Stern game! A nice HUO Simpsons Party Pinball.
image_(resized).jpeg
Great pinside handle!
Quoted from Chosen_S:cool pic and game room!
Thanks, I was actually relieved when I squished them in there so no bikes can get to the cabs
Quoted from lurch:LOL, i dont see any bikes down there! What kind of Budweiser sign is that? Looks like combo monster energy/Budweiser
Budweiser poker
Quoted from jmountjoy111:I was on a mission to pick up something weird and cheesy to round out the lineup. Success????
I would say you succeeded
Quoted from Its_me_aj:Picked up BOPP yesterday and it was kind of a strange transaction. Overall the condition isn't as bad as I was expecting but there is a few locked on solenoids I have to figure out. I think it's going to be ok though
I think that by law, you have to tell the story now.......
Quoted from ChrisRAD:Fun family pickup. Awesome crew to go on 10+Hour road trip.
LOL! Your daughter has the same expression as me when I get a new pin! How cute
Quoted from pinballrockstar:Original, plus the first time i see the boob decal ?
Back in the day, the boobs were too exposed and the decal was optional
Lol
Silly people
My scared stiff came with a similar decal. I didn't notice it til I got it home. I was nervous it was going to damage the translite when I peeled it off, but it didn't.
Quoted from dmbjunky:If I had an Elvira, I would have the decal on. It's such an interesting story. Did Scared Stiff have a decal too?
See above. Yes, it was called a modesty decal. Mine went directly into the trash, bring on the boobies!
Quoted from bigd1979:I believe i know where that came from lol. Nice pickup. I wanted it also but am actually selling/tradeing off my stern pins at the moment.
We must all go thru phases....i am considering trading ss for acdc....a move I NEVER thought I'd make, and I recently sold FH and FT to buy metallica......help!
Mmmmmm.....tasty!
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Thanks man! Was I smoking crack or did I read something about you picking up an Iron Man?
LOL! Yup, love it!
Quoted from Max_Badazz:So I tore up the candlepin bowling alley to free up a ton of space....got this in its place
That's like getting rid of your pins to buy a virtual pin!
Quoted from Dirtynerd:Picked up this lovely lady today
Maybe another tomorrow my bank is getting hammered this hobby is not very pocket friendly
But it dose bring me great joy
Rudy is NO lady, BUCKO!!!
Quoted from Chosen_S:If sof was my only game, I think I would be ok with that, I love every square inch of it, even the absence of pops is a-ok
Who needs pops?!
Quoted from Bos98:Well it's all there but the head was decapitated!!
I think I can make a go of it at $700
OMG.... What a P.I.T.A. who does that?!
What game is that?
Quoted from Bos98:Getaway
Well, if it's got a nice playfield, it should all be good after a few burnt fingertips
Quoted from BeaglePuss:Just brought home this guy. Purchased it from a Bowling Alley, and they loaded it up for me! That's something I can't say I'm too use to.
Check out that sweet button wear too!!!
That is some nice fuckin' flipper button wear
Quoted from PAPPYBALL:More of a "Homecoming" All in storage since 2010
Nice! That's a long wait!
Quoted from ToucanF16:200 more miles to home. Carting back one of my grail pins; a MB. I left at 4 AM this morning for the 800 mile round trip from Memphis to Louisville.
Pin-trips rule! Nice grab.
Quoted from ejacques:It's a mess. .... but complete!
So, you're saying it's a complete mess
Quoted from Jappie:I paid about 1400 euros for it. How did I do?
Also: what do you mean by 'It's a Homer'?
He meant Homer as in "home run".... Great score!
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Congrats. Seems pretty brave not tying down the backbox during transport.
LOL, not sure "brave" is the word I would use.
Quoted from Pinzap:Looks like the fish in that tank are very interested in checking out your new MB. Great pic!!
Oh yeah... I found him.
Those are a couple of big friggin' fish!
Quoted from Colsond3:Definitely an interesting table, and sounds are surely fitting. The upper left trail / somewhat of a 1/4 orbit shot looks tough to hit. Thanks for sharing the video...as a hockey fan and player myself, I want one now. LOL.
Tonsil hockey?
Quoted from Spencer:Bought this last weekend for $200. It doesn't work but I don't care because I was planning on cutting it in half and using it as a one of a kind wall hanging art.
OMG that is gonna look slick busting thru the wall! Would look cool with the lights working.
Quoted from Shiny_balls:I think this real, full size diesel loco is too big for the game room.....no?
I wonder if the interior is open inside the house, like a breakfast nook!
Quoted from Lord_of_the_pins:Brought this bad boy home today ! Thanks to a great pinsider
Coin slot bulb out on yer coin door
Quoted from sulli10:What did you do with the No Fear I wanted?
I was going to trade you my TAF straight up.
That's it! No more coming over to your house and drinking all your beer!!
Good luck with the new game.
LOL! You switched from maverick to Addams?! I actually was honestly sad to part with NF, but this game is gorgeous.
Quoted from Colsond3:That number supposedly became available and was sold for some ridiculous amount of money a few years ago. Don't know how phone numbers are worth money though...
Would be perfect for Jenny Craig
When I see sheets over games like that I think of my neighbors growing up who had the plastic covers on their couches.
Quoted from PeterG:You need some green t-mold for that backbox.
Thanks, yep... It's stock so I have lots of work to do does the traditional "t" molding work on these metal heads the same way? (Gripping in a channel) or is there a flat backed glue on type?
Quoted from Cloud7:I got 2 of my favorite pins today! TAF and LOTR! TAF is one of my most nostalgic games!
Damn.... That's a good day!
Quoted from ForceFlow:I probably paid a bit much for it in the state it was in, but I figured I'd probably be hard pressed to find another one. It's an unusual layout and has wildly colorful artwork, almost like the Atari games.
Ya should stopped over..... 5 minutes from my house. I went to look at that..... That's one wiiiide body!
Quoted from Raincity:My first pin was delivered this weekend! DILE number 436!
Well, Damn..... That's a pretty nice first game!
Quoted from drinkduffbeers:Dog was certainty curious of today’s delivery
That second pic is hysterical looks like me when I get a new pin!
Quoted from MikeHogue:Well I didn't bring it home, but it was delivered. Does that count?
Yes, yes it does......
Quoted from RonSS:Let's hope it's just the wrapper you find!
It's got new rubbers!
Quoted from jake35:Picked up an underdog today, HUO Bugs Bunny. Stored in a basement of a Delta Pilot for over 20 years. No fade and PF practically new. Batteries didn't leak on boards either which was a bonus.
It's still gonna suck! Just bustin'.
Quoted from KHL:Thanks to pdxmonkey for the hook up, he always has the quality goods!
Man, that really looks cool!
Quoted from CollinT:They won't taste the same but will be drinkable. I found an 80's bud light in the woods years ago, it poured clear, had carbonation and head.
It was a little sweeter than normal, but was surprisingly still good!
OMG. I clean out the fridge and any seasonal beer that's more than a little out of season gets pitched. I can't imagine drinking something I found in the woods
Quoted from o-din:Kinda reminds me of the water rocket I played with when I was a kid.
OMG, haven't thought about that in so many years. I loved that thing!
Quoted from New_England:So happy to have received this beautiful machine today!
This marks number one in the collection. What do you all think?
congrats! That game has enough to do to keep you busy for a loooong time. Great choice!
Quoted from Outlanes:Heavily molded GB premium from a pinsider. Sweet game.
I can hardly see any mold at all!
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:Was I drunk? Probably. When and where did this happen?
It was right after the irishbastard fight. You were staring at the ceiling
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:Pretty sure you have me confused, does your wife look like me?
Aaaah..... that must be why I always found you kinda hot.
Quoted from woodmedic:I had a great weekend. Did some trading and ended up with these two beauties!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Ummm. Yeah..... I would say that was a great weekend!
Quoted from Coz:Picked up this nice White Water. Time to go play
[quoted image]
First, I would put the right bulbs in the topper!
Quoted from Willys45:Picked this one up last night less than a mile from my house. It has been with the same owner since 2003. It is in amazing condition. Cannot wait to enjoy it this weekend.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Ooooooh, that is sexy!
Quoted from Colsond3:Hahaha. You’re the man Kev.
Funny coming from the guy that offered to wax mine at Pintastic... Lay off the sauce bro.
LMAO, offer still stands
Quoted from Gornkleschnitzer:I've got my
Rock

[quoted image]

Quoted from pinostalgia:got these yesterday,two different sellers...[quoted image][quoted image]
Same great camera for both?
Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Received a nice delivery with help from a fellow Pinsider!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
[quoted image]
Dayummmm
Quoted from Rensh:Had a roadtrip with a friend of me and got him a nice looking cftbl
Let the modding begin. Pinsound is first on the list
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
[quoted image]
Colordmd looks awesome on creech.
Quoted from bluespin:Rocky and Bullwinkle have been captured! Great game flow but the mystery bonus is why it isn’t used in tournaments. Definately player condition cabinet but the backglass and playfield look amazing
[quoted image][quoted image]
That music tho......
Quoted from Skyemont:[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That's a LOT of games to bring home in one day!
Quoted from Kensurfs:Just picked this one up.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Did ya just apply or just remove the bullet decals on the coin door? It's onky on in one pic
Quoted from Kensurfs:I had a pic before the decals then after the decals
I like 'em. It matches Dirth Harry now
Quoted from NPO:Made an 11.5 hour journey each way to pick this one up. Slim pickings in the Florida Panhandle - you want a pin, you better be ready to be a road dog...
[quoted image]
FTR, Stern pins fit in a 2015 Fit.
[quoted image]
Easy to do by yourself with a 1.5" diameter PVC pipe : )!
[quoted image]
Had to move the safe and the pool table to make space - no problem. A 3 ton low profile jack and a HF lift table, each with a 2 x 4 shaved to 17" long to keep the weight distributed across the pool table!
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
And just like that, 700 lbs pool table moved with a simple push : ).
[quoted image]
After a bit of grunting, the safe was moved, and Autobot # 105 took its new home! Polk sub coming in tomorrow and LED ColorDMD on Saturday!
[quoted image]
Did you drive 11 hours there not knowing if it would fit?! I would have an ulcer thru my stomach before I got there!
Quoted from Colsond3:You shouldn’t have sold the BSD!!! Congrats on the MB pick up.
Wait! Is that guy wearing a jerga? I didn’t know those things still existed.
Ha! I have one.... My kids call it my "drug rug."
Quoted from kciaccio:Inside. It's a convertible Vette..You are confusing the windshield for a back window...
I had never thought about it, but I guess it's a convertible without headrests
Quoted from scampcamp:I have a friend who had $6,000 stashed away from side cement jobs saving up for the Chicagoland show. His wife (ex now) found it & he said it was for her & went & bought diamond earrings.
What a dipshit!
Quoted from Lymes:First post on Pinside! Brought home one of my dream pins and love it. TOTAN is next....
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Cool, looks like a perfectly location for a pin!
Quoted from corvair61:Two more to add to the lineup today.
[quoted image]
OMG, good weekend for you!
Quoted from jake35:8 hour roadtrip but worth it! Addams family Gold, #949, 2 owner since new in the DC area. Perfect shape with original boards, all documentation and original cert. No wear anywhere. Stoked!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Took the topper off to move it?
Man, the mansion inserts look awesome.
Quoted from sulli10:My first ever Wedge Head. Love the sounds!!!
Calling pinball resource in the AM to get correct legs, schematic and a switch adjuster. Beautiful playfield. This bad boy is the same age as my 67 Firebird. I see some more of these on the horizon for the “cave”.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Cool! What is the
deal with those clear windows in the backglass?
Quoted from sulli10:When you make the shot the card target drops. This is old school cool!!! Great drinking game
[quoted image]
You had me at "drinking."
Quoted from skyrex:Every day is a good day.....but some are better than others!!
[quoted image][quoted image]
I'm sure I'm not the only one who zoomed in on the Ferrari before the pin. Looks like lots of good days!
Quoted from Scoot:I believe that is a Ford GT. I have one of those... on my desk at work...
I need a bigger desk!
Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:Picked this up this morning- early production Diamondplate as well![quoted image][quoted image]
Nice pick up. What's the little plate under the start button?
Quoted from waldo34:Munsters Pro, loving it.
[quoted image]
I'd bet it's even better with legs rather than crates!
Quoted from bicyclenut:Mine is a mutt. Rescue from the SPCA....I think your dogs are taller.
[quoted image]
I think those dogs have different moms
Quoted from Ballypin:Early Morning Delight after 3.5 years on my wish list.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I see what you did there . Now I can't get that song out of my head!
Quoted from Ballypin:I gave you a convenient link to the song in my post directly above it.
LOL, didn't even see that!
Quoted from corvair61:Out with the old... in with the old? Lol
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Looks like a nice clean creech! Love the hot pink.
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Got my grail game! Don’t know what I’ll do with myself now, I’ve been looking for ages.
Found this gem buried deep in a Facebook group, head to toe Chestnut brass w/ HSA playfield. I should probably go play it I guess, thanks again bobby !!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Holy shit.
Quoted from Colsond3:Brought it home 18 days ago....brought it back in the home last night and reassembling after airbrushing/restenciling the cab. Of course, kept the original white patina. This game deserved to be revived a little.
Before and after...
[quoted image][quoted image]
Groovy!
Quoted from yellowghost:Traded my WWF for a demolitia man.
[quoted image]
Great pic, that thing looks mint!
Quoted from Colsond3:Picked this project up at Pinfest. Fun, simple Sys 11 game, and it’s actually in pretty decent shape. Looks like the PSB and a few connectors are shot.
Started cleaning out the cabinet, found a post it in there. Now all I can think about is what the hell happened on 9/16/2015...and did they commit fully?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
LOL!
Quoted from play_pinball:Y’all wanna see a rare game with a nice playfield?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wow, that looks like it has a lot of unique features. And way cool artwork!
Quoted from embryonjohn:Does every HUO Victory come with a stuffed ram’s head?[quoted image]
Be careful. You wanna make sure that's the most recent ram update.
Quoted from Oneangrymo:Nah I never tell her when pins are coming. I didnt tell her when I ordered my Tesla Model X until it was delivered Dec 30th 2016 at 10pm. That was the best car delivery experience I ever had. She just sat in it and stared, then left .. but over time I think she began to like it.
She left?!
Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:Two rare/not often see payout pins today. Untouched/unplayed and tucked away for at least 35years..
1936 Stoner Turf Champs- Look at those metal castings!
1937 ESCO Broncho
Complete with ticket dispensers- you could put them in a Chuck E Cheese! [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wow, those are both badass!
Quoted from Indypin:Never done this before, but I traded (3) of my pins to Zach from FlipnOut pinball for IMDN Premium, DP Pro and BK3 premium. Zach was FANTASTIC and can’t recommend him enough. I was nervous for some reason because I never did such a huge deal like this before. Zach was like Santa Claus. He came right in and went straight to work. My wife brought some hamburgers home for supper and I couldn’t even convince the boy to stop and eat. He helped with everything and even took the cardboard boxes and pallets with him. He set the games up and cleaned my balls (tee hee....Sorry Zach.... I had to) and made sure I was happy with everything. We even found a limited edition IMDN comic and a signed lithograph taped to the very back of the pin, which was a pleasant surprise. Love Love Love my choice of pins!
Thanks Zach for everything buddy,[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
What games did ya trade?
Man, I have never let 3 go at once. I sold two at one time and felt like part of my identity was leaving . I'm sure the excitement of having 3 brand new games overshadowed the feeling of loss congrats.
Quoted from Y3AG3R:First Pin, got some stuff to work on but it will give me something to do until I find my next one. Displays worked when I picked it but but don’t when I got home.
Any ideas? My harbor freight multimeter crapped out on me so I guess I gotta get one of those to chase down the issue.[quoted image]
Start by reseating cables and checking fuses.
Quoted from mjs2:Starting the 2.5 hr trek home now.[quoted image]
2 1/2 hours does not a trek make.
Quoted from Colsond3:Says the guy that looks for games within a 50 mile radius from his house. To you, driving 2.5 hours would be like traveling to Middle Earth.
LMAO, hey I drove to Long island last week for TNA..... LONG Island!!!!!
Quoted from Colsond3:Told the story with pictures in order. Moneyshot was there. PF is beautiful on this thing. No orbit trail or sign of wear at all...not even at the inserts or pops.
[quoted image][quoted image]
The premium version is better!
Quoted from bluespin:Sone people think Colson is a smart Alec, but I think he’s ok...
He's a smart Alex.
Quoted from Colsond3:Nobody on the word play? [quoted image]
Went way over my head!
Left early this morning to pick up two games. Came home empty
As much as I know it was a good decision, it sucks coming home empty
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Let me guess... Gilligans Island and Pinbot in Lafayette? $1400 for a pinbot with playfield wear and acid damage didn’t scream BUY ME. Owner seemed nice enough and they played OK. But yeah I passed as well.
LOL, I wrote to her a minute after they listed last night. She did stick to honoring my offer even after supposedly getting higher offers, so I respect that. That was some bad acid damage! I looked at the boards with a flashlight, as the room was as dark as a casino.I agree playfield was probably nice under all that dirt and the guy was super nice.
Quoted from Pinkitten:I know that pin! The seller is a friend in Dallas. Awesome IM! I'm sending one of mine to Dallas next week to fill the void! Eventually, we will all own each others games at least once.
So basically, your game is a whore!
Quoted from V_piscopo:I used to have a gusher and loved it. Super fun game. Should not have sold it.
Changing the sheets gets old after a while
Quoted from bkaelin:The container arrived!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
OMG, three great games!
Quoted from Whysnow:[quoted image]
Whysnow, I don't know why, but I always pictured you as an older crazy grey haired guy!
Quoted from DK:Needs a LOT of TLC. I’m looking forward to emailing Steve Young tonight![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
The eyes on that playfield sun would freak me out!
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:Not sure of the faith of this one, no backglass, playfeild in not so good condition. But it has a Alltek MPU and it had a pinscore display in it so it had to be working at some point. It was cheap enough so in the truck it went.
[quoted image]
Presbyterian?
Quoted from bicyclenut:Got my Grail game. Only had to drive 4 hours round trip and its never leaving my place.[quoted image]
If I had a nickel for every time I've said that.........
Quoted from delt31:Jealous. Thinking I might need to get TZ! Looks great!
Thanks! Had my son ordering the colordmd as we left the driveway. No better sidekick or best friend than a kid who loves a pinball trip! What a heavy friggin game to lug upstairs!!!
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Congrats, that thing looks nice! Totally going to drool on it when I invite myself over some random weekend this Spring
Please do! You're overdue to get your ass over here!
Quoted from sulli10:Brought home a companion for Star Wars. Thanks to my Delaware buddy .
I really like the red trim on the VE. Actually like it better then the blue on the LE[quoted image][quoted image]
Aaaaand colordmds will spread like a virus now
Quoted from delt31:It’s like that space was designed for a pin
Yeah... By someone who HATES nudging
Quoted from RonSS:Not to derail the "What did Colson bring home today" thread, but I got a special delivery yesterday.
Still putting her together.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Quoted from transprtr4u:Pin mover career is over!
I was gonna say..... I've never asked my wife to carry a pin!
Quoted from transprtr4u:Original AFM.. Little dialing in and will be good as new
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Love the chrome coindoor!
Quoted from atrainn:Woot! Haven't done two in one week in a long time![quoted image][quoted image]
Nice!
Quoted from Scoot:Drove 1116 miles round trip for this beauty. I couldn't be happier!
[quoted image][quoted image]
So glad you didn't show up at my place looking like that, I woulda locked the door! Congrats
Quoted from Pinkitten:I moved Dialed In! in 2018 with my wife and I’m still sore. 350ish?
TZ nearly gave me a hernia coming up a flight of stairs on a handtruck.
Quoted from Scoot:Picked up another gem and yes, the crane does work!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Congrats SCOOT!!
Quoted from Skypilot:Have not been this excited in a long time. Can’t wait to tune it up. Hopefully will have a show next year and I can bring it. Thank you @RobertStone
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Dude! Ringer was the center event of a few shows for me! So much fun ❤️
Quoted from RandyW:I picked up this beauty. The owner bought it on eBay, new in box. It won’t power on, so I got it for a good deal.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That is amazing.
Quoted from Willathrilla:Grabbed a nice pair!
[quoted image]
#oneherniaisntenough
Quoted from mollyspub:That blue Powercoating is perfect ! Do you know the name of it ? Don't care for Rudys make over though. Don't know if you know but you got a early run of those sideblades. They only did a few with Rudy on that side.
Robert Stone did the powder.
Cool, didn't even notice the sideblades difference! Hey, thanks all. Does anyone know if the lampshade assembly is available anywhere? I was 4 am searching for the modded lampshade and realized my whole assembly has been replaced with a spot light. It doesn't look bad, but it's gonna bug me that it's missing
Also curious about opinions on 3d vs. mirrored backglass.
Quoted from JHS71:In front of million?
Wow, I can't believe I didn't see that! While I was in there, I put colored post sleeves all around.
Quoted from erico201:Went on a 25-hour round trip to pick up a few games! This was a great adventure with an awesome new friend! You really get to know someone while riding in a truck for that long. Luckily we get along great and have the same sense of humor.
I picked up a Centigrade 37 to bring home as a trade for WPT. Then we went to the next seller’s place to grab a Funhouse for myself and a Demolition Man for my friend.
Both sellers were amazing guys and so easy to deal with! Thanks allicks and Graeme for being awesome! Thanks beaster for being an amazing travel companion and keeping me laughing the entire trip...also, no country music! Lol
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice! Sounds like a fun trip. I just got Rudy back after missing him for a few years! Hey, Bucko!
Quoted from ssbodyman:It's the best shooting spooky for sure, but yeah not the greatest looking. .
What?!?! TNA!
Quoted from Slogan1111:Yes they are. Talk about falling apart!
Who cares?!

Folded up waiting for you at the next poker game!
Quoted from Nihonmasa:Today is a great day!

.... To buy a camera with a flash!
Quoted from locksmith:Best bowling game period. If you see one play it If it’s for sale. Buy it.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I've always thought that looked cool! Anybody selling one in or near NJ?
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:VELCOME TO THE CARPATHIANS...
[quoted image]
No keys? . I kinda miss mine, traded it away like a dummy.
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Picked up a bone stock Sopranos that came with the original box and looks brand new.
Speaking of brand new, my basement/house/city is new too! Can’t wait to set up the rest of the collection and meet some other Buffalo pinball lunatics when the smoke clears!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Congrats! Man that's gonna be expensive to fill!!
Quoted from BMHouze:Drying up. Just in case.[quoted image]
Drying up? was it wet?!
Quoted from BMHouze:It was a cold wet drive home under the tarp.
Box was dry.
Just in case.
Node boards are pretty finicky in my experience.
Yes, I don't blame you. Better safe than sorry
Quoted from holminone:Made the five hour one way trek to Pasadena yesterday down the 5 to pick up Snaroff’s Jurassic Park. Never played the game before. Incredible game worth the hype. Ate an in and out burger on the return and took a 20 minute power nap at a rest stop near Bakersfield!
That’s Wally World btw in the photo.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice pickup, and already has the topper!
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:On the eve of my birthday, Taco Bell and pinball.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Happy Birthday
Quoted from MrMikeman:A RFM or SWEP1 would probably fit too..
It works the way it is, just looks awkward. I don't think a short game would help, because you still wouldn't be able to stand on the other side of the column. That pole isn't physically in the way while you play, you ha e room to move your arm around, it just disrupts the games from being in a neat row. I definitely prefer the "look" of the room with one less game, but we all know the sad plight of the pinball hoarder my wife wants me to finish the garage, bit as much as I love pinball, I love above warm, dry vehicle and not having to get wet or snowy to use it. All good!
Quoted from roth:Been too long since I had played pinball, and couldn’t wait for my R&M standard to arrive to get my fix, so got myself a housewarming present for my new flat. Snowstorm in the northeast meant today was the first nice day to bring the game by:
[quoted image]
Didn't know we had "flats" in the states
Quoted from kidchrisso:Where there's a will, there's a way....
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice.... A friend and I had a similar experience. We had to roll two games around from the back of a guy's house in the snow and the wheels on the hand truck kept getting bigger and bigger like a cartoon. We were laughing so hard we couldn't breathe!
Quoted from PinsOnly:Had to drive about 15 minutes for this one!! Glad to add it to the lineup!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Nice! What kinda mileage did you get on that road trip?
Quoted from Pinkitten:Stern NFL owners club thread has 30k posts? I didn’t realize how popular that game is!
Not bad for a thread dedicated to a franchise that should be defunded.
Quoted from Staffan:Picked up a Dirty Harry yesterday.
[quoted image]
Notice the "custom" notches I made so that a pinball will fit in my volvo V70 without sliding the backbox down.
[quoted image]
Now that's dedication to the hobby! Custom notches for the win.
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:Ha. Usually I do, and I think 3 people can comfortably bring one of these down intact, but on the heels of having my wife help drag Cactus Jack's (just the body with the playfield -- I separated the head and took it separately) upstairs without a dolly (bad idea) on Thursday I didn't want to have to ask for *any* help this time. I figured I could suffer through hooking it all back up, at least then the onus was on me and not on anyone else.
Right? I unplugged everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING -- as required in order to remove the head and then figured it would be easy to just pull the loom out and remove the playfield (heavy AF, at least compared to any I'd pulled prior!)....nope! Had to pull another 10 or so connections, including the damn interlock connectors. I don't think everything I had to disconnect actually ties in with the playfield (although maybe it does? I have no idea, I just know it hasn't been like that on Williams/Bally games I've taken apart), but it's certainly ziptied to the loom that has to go with the playfield when it comes out. Sheesh.
I'm not sure how I want to tackle BKSOR when it gets here. Thinking I don't want to disassemble it at all, though, so I'll probably just make sure I have enough help to drag it downstairs intact (Tron made it down intact with no issue). Not digging the way Stern sets things up with regard to separating components, lol.
BK will just have those minimal, tiny boards. I'd think that would be easy compared to MET.
Quoted from Jaeg:Easter Bunny came early. It was a long wait but worth it. When I ordered this, my kids didn't have beards.
[quoted image]
Congrats! Even if the kid in front needs to get his priorities straight!
Quoted from northerndude:Is Vancouver kind of like Quebec where you don’t consider your area apart of
Canada?
I was thinking.. "a long trip to Canada, all the way from..... Canada"
Quoted from Jrotten:Finally got SS
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That was my game! Made it outta jersey and came right back!
Quoted from Skyemont:[quoted image]
Nice! Do you know if that marquee is the same size as a standard pacman marquee? I have a pacman can with a 60 in one and my marquee is scratches. That one would be cool to have.
Quoted from Coindork:Its should be exactly the same size as an original PAC-Man marquee.
That marquee was a drop in replacement that came in a kit.
I’ve owned a couple of them.
Hmmm. Can you guys arm wrestle and let me know who wins? I guess I'ma hafta measure. I get that it has nothing to do with the 60 in one. I bought mine as an original pacman and a buddy converted it to 60 in one. I just thought that super pacman marquee would change up the look for me.
Quoted from ralphs007:Finally got my HUO Mettalica Premium . Now I can stop bugging everyone on the what's available threads.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Love the road case! The pro translite, not so much.
Annnddd.... White water trek!
I have no idea why someone out this speaker panel on this game!
I also have some entire switch assemblies missing but I'm so happy to have wh20 back and it's in nice shape so once I source the ramp switches it should clean up nice!
Quoted from Scoot:I have been collecting pins for a few years now but never had the space to keep them all in one place. I had pins at work, at friends, and in storage. I just bought a place big enough to accommodate them all. It's like a pinball family reunion.
[quoted image]
Do you still have a sleigh riding hill for your pins?
Quoted from Colsond3:Not mine, but grabbed a game for Ballypin. As I got closer to the pick up location, I realized where I was.
Right hand turn to the infamous Gameseum, left hand turn would leave me high and dry. Neither a good choice.
[quoted image][quoted image]
LMAO
Quoted from freddy:It’s been a good week !
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice game. Kinda cringy to see it stood up in the bed, but to each his own
Quoted from freddy:Must of been even cringier standing up in fright and changing from 18 wheeler to 18 wheeler at each hub! But it’s in one piece and playing fine.
I bet you lay all your pins down must be a Jersey thing glad I left that state 34 years ago!!!
Wasn't trying to get you all worked up, just seems like if there is room in the bed, it's safer laying down to completely avoid the possibility of a tip over. It's all good, and glad you're happy out of NJ.
Quoted from Puffdanny:Tried to bring this home for my brother but broke down 120 miles from home. On a plus note we made it to a hotel and theres a bunch of close repair shops with a 4.5 or better google rating.
[quoted image]
Beat of luck with the truck. I just picked up a TF last week and it is so much more fun than I ever thought it would be!
Quoted from Colsond3:Or you can buy a roll of Kobalt Tool box liner from Lowes for $20. Same thing, and one roll does two games with two cuts. Unless you really feel the need to pay $40 more per mat just to have the Stern logo.
[quoted image]
I don't get the idea of this.... To keep dust off, or are your games in the sun and you're worried about playfield fade?
If I see any dust, I just give a quick micro fiber towel wipe. Seems like more work to cover them and I can't see the coolness. Shrug.
Quoted from JT-Pinball:Sadly I did not get the other one
[quoted image]
Is everyone ok??
Quoted from G35R6:Any guesses?
This is the White Water that I was supposed to be bringing back home today.
After almost a month and 49 email exchanges, the seller and I agreed on a price and date for pick up. Three days ago he informs me that his neighbor just found out that he was selling it and "twisted his arm to sell it to him".
What's most amusing is that two weeks ago he came to me crying about a lack of "honest people" after he got screwed over by a guy selling him a pin who backed out of the sale and sold it to someone else for more money.
Oh well. Still cruising the midwest with a empty car and a pocket full of cash in search of a White Water. (Or ACDC, or MET, or GoT)
And a lesson learned from what CrazyLevi always says - have cash ready and get there as fast as you can!
[quoted image]
LOL! I think this is the first empty vehicle pic here! Any time this happens, pinball karma presents something better for you than the lost deal was ever going to be.
Quoted from Meri-cah:Only an hour drive. Super lucky on this premium
[quoted image]
That's an awesome pic!
I've changed my own oil my whole life. When I was a kid I heard stories of places just wiping off the filter so it looked new rather than change it. Rather have it done right for sure.
Quoted from Pinhead306:[quoted image][quoted image]
Missing the back door and cabinet has been repainted. But playfield and backglass in good shape.
I like the contrast of the old EM and your futuristic x-ray glasses!
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:50% off, I had to.
Came with very scary catalog and apparently they sell pac man too.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
LOL@ "very scary catalog"
Quoted from naf_llabnip:Snagged a WOZ ECLE (#wizardofoz) this weekend. That thing is heavy (if Pinside had a top 100 heaviest machines category, I think this baby would near the top!). I have had bad back problems in the past, but managed to unload it and move it upstairs by myself (not saying it was smart, but you gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to pinball!). Employed a nice redneck lift system to get it up the stairs, worked like a charm (yes one of those stair climbing dollies would be preferable). Is a beautiful bucket-list game for me; famous last words, but I don't plan on moving it again
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Congrats. Did you actually pull it up with that comealong, or just keep that on as a safeguard? I can't picture how one person could make that work.
Quoted from naf_llabnip:Thank ya! Yep I pulled it up the stairs with the comealong. The bottom of the dolly has two plastic-protected "skids". I attached the rope on the bottom side of the dolly, which pulled up the front end just a little and helped it slide up the stairs basically like a sled. I went very slow (like one or two inches per crank), but it cranked right up no problem! Just curious from your user name, is the YZF a motocross reference?
Nice! That must have taken a while
I had a yzf600 street bike when the internet became a thing, so that became my aol name and stuck all these years.
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:An interesting High Speed. Backbox was replaced at some point. No beacon. Works and plays though. Trying to figure out what game the head was from.
Does anyone know what machines of this era had the lick on the top of the backbox?
Chris
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I lick the top of all my back boxes
Quoted from Mathazar:You're a lucky man. The only way my wife smiles like that next to one of my pins is after I tell her I sold it.
LMAO!
Quoted from Boof-Ed:If you love some thing, set it free!
Woz has returned. A friend begged me to sell it back to him after a couple of months as his daughter was upset about it leaving his collection. I agreed with the provision that I get first option if he ever sold it again. He called me a week ago saying he’s ready to move it on again and offered it back.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Glad you got it back. If I sold a game to a friend and decided I had made a mistake... I'd suck it up, not expect my friend to give it back to me.
Quoted from Boof-Ed:I think my choice of words there are poor and probably unfair. Begged might be making it sound worse than it actually was.
Cool, hope you got it back for the original price
I'd like to add a WOZ soon too! The first few times I played, I thought it was kinda floaty and not so fun. Then I had a really good game and realized that it can actually get pretty intense... Really fun game.
