Quoted from yzfguy:OMG that is gonna look slick busting thru the wall! Would look cool with the lights working.
Yup, lights will be working for sure! I should get someone to paint a tunnel look around it on the wall. That would look amazing!
Quoted from wantdataeast:Dude...What the hell is it?
Kids ride?
I would hate to cut it in half... I think I would rather cut a hole in the wall.
Yeah, its a kids ride, seats two with two steering wheels and a few light up panels inside. Its totally dead, and my kids are too big to use it, so..... It was either, keep it full size, or cut it and make it look like its coming out of the wall. Based on overall size and the fact no-one will use it, cutting it makes the most sense to me. I did think about putting in a monitor and adding a console game inside it but again, its tight in there.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Did you find that at a auction or local classifieds? Sweet score Spencer! What are you going to do with the back half?
Either trash it or sell it. Its pretty neat, I'll take a picture. Found it on kijijii
Quoted from albummydavis:Seriously, your going to destroy that? I'd kill to have that, and I'm sure there are others close to you that would as well. You could make a pretty penny. I've never seen it and wouldn't be surprised if there are only a few in existence. It's got to be close to 20'yrs old, as is the cartoon.
I bought it to use it for another use... That's why I bought it. A one of a kind wall piece. That's what Im always looking for, something different.... I also have a 7-8 foot Barbie display from Target when they were closing here. I made it into a sign for my oldest daughters room. Its a one of a kind too.
I just took a closer look. It was made by Jolly Roger, amusement rides in England. Cant find a date.
Seller did say he had several high offers but he had no desire to ship it.
Quoted from Mopar:100% I restored Kiddie Rides and if you were closer I'd
offer something very decent for it mostly to save it..
I'd have to think one of a very few (if that)..
Whats very decent? How rare do you think it is? I cant find much info on it at all. I don't want to wreck a one of a kind machine but I didn't think it was rare...
Quoted from albummydavis:I have to apologize---I thought a bit more about this, and in fact, I think I saw one years ago on ebay. I believe there is some kind of story behind this ride, so you may want to learn more about it. Not common, and you can certainly make some nice money flipping it.
Thanks for the update. I have been trying to track down some info but cant seem to find much. Ill keep looking.
Quoted from Lord_of_the_pins:Brought this bad boy home today ! Thanks to a great pinsider
Nice pick up! Looks great.
Quoted from Lord_of_the_pins:Made the 8hour drive and traded Aerosmith for this chestnut chromed h2o fully restored with new playfield !
So nice buddy! I've been looking with little success... Let me know when its time to move it on.
