Quoted from NoQuarters:That Hot Hand is interesting. Haven't seen that one before.
You should trade me something for it so you can get a better look at it.
Quoted from Micky:Nice! What are your first impressions?
It's a blast. 6 of us played it for about 4 hours. Seems well built.
Quoted from Bud:That pin is a blast to play, definitely a "if I had one more ball" type of game. I just don't understand the high price for a single level, no ramp "old" style layout. It is SUPER fun though, so I guess that's why. I'd love to have one
I can tell you that I got my money's worth without a doubt. But i don't need a pinball machine that tells me a 45 minute story and gently feeds the ball back to the flippers with $125 worth of recycled soda bottles on each side. If Stern builds a game with the features and fun contained in this game then I will buy a NIB from them someday too.
Quoted from wantdataeast:Not what I would call a project machine.
I needs a lot of love to be playable.
Quoted from Zavadoza:Give the people what they want!
Thanks pacman ! Just picked up my favorite system 80 game from Fastenal. Haunted House!

Is that a borrowed truck? I had you pegged as more of a Subaru guy.
Quoted from Ballypin:Here I go again. Picked up a game on my wish list. Left at midnight and drove seven hours to Waynesboro Virginia to pick up a 1966 Bally Gold Rush. Thanks again to bluespin for the lead on this machine. Saw the ad Monday night and messaged the seller and got the game locked down. Play field is very dirty and very little wear. Game appears complete except missing gate over center bonus mushroom bumper. Backglass has a few wear spots but is in much better shape than the last four examples that I’ve considered buying in the past year. Cabinet is solid and has some wear but will clean up and present very well.
Not headed home quite yet. Going to make a stop in Roanoke and see the Pinball Museum and then also stop at Black Dog Salvage before I venture back through Kentucky to pick up game number two. Details to follow...

This is the game I grew up with in my basement. Would like to get one back but they seem to go for stupid money in poor condition.
Quoted from egyptrus:rustylizard did a Whirlwind also come with that Jokerz?
Dave
Look closer
Quoted from egyptrus:Indeed it is a whirlwind...the reason I asked is because there was a guy that contacted me a couple of months ago with a whirlwind with a wooden door and a jokerz that didn't seem to work (at least the displays didn't work). Apparently they were left there by the previous home owner. He wanted crazy prices, something like $4300 for Whirlwind and $3000 for Jokerz (or something like that). I told him that those were prices he'd never get for the games given their condition. I told him that I'd check back with him later to see if he'd consider selling them for "reasonable" prices as it was just around Christmas and they had just moved into their house.
Fast forward to today, I sent him a text out of the blue to see what he decided to do with his games and he said he sold them to "some gamers out of Wausau" and that he had 10 other people waiting in line for the games...I'm assuming you didn't pay what he was originally asking for the games.
I did not pay those prices for sure. They were reasonable but not a steal by any means.
Quoted from ToucanF16:A Grand Lizard for rustylizard There must be a story to tell...
When I joined Pinside I knew from previous forums if I used my typical Russs, no one would notice me so I needed a name. My Grandma called me Rusty. There was a bearded dragon near our computer who turned orange when he was happy and I had recently acquired a Grand Lizard pinball that I really liked.
I crammed that all together and what you see is what you get. This new pick up is a really cool prototype game. If you look at a production GL you will see instantly how cool the cabinet artwork is on this one. There are many more cool differences.
Quoted from mcuzz:Pics please
Going to make a video with my friends at Pinball Mayhem. I will be submitting pics to IPDB and will post a few here when I get it set up.
Quoted from mcuzz:Pics please
Quoted from mcuzz:Thanks, How many of those are kicking around?
I have 007. I found some old posts about 003. Would make one think there could have maybe been 10 or 12 at one time.
Quoted from bluespin:But are any of the parts of the Pinball Lizard as rusty, as Rusty Lizard?
No, it's actually pretty nice.
Quoted from Colsond3:Very nice. Repainted FG’s look awesome. I’ll happily take the old one on the left then.
I have to swap playfields first. I am keeping my original with mylar and selling the one with overlay and clearcoat. The one I am selling probably looks nicer but I prefer the original. The automotive paint with clear on the cabinet looks spectacular.
Quoted from bluespin:Did you also buy the foosball table?
Funny. I bought this today and it came with a foosball table.
20201223_162503 (resized).jpgQuoted from Pinbub:That looks really clean. It's also the super rare left plunger version. Is it right hand drive?! On a serious note does it have the red or orange Meteor?
I will snap some pics after work. Funny thing is I moved it in the basement and noticed that while it was in my car the plunger fairies came and swapped it to right side.
Quoted from Pinbub:That looks really clean. It's also the super rare left plunger version. Is it right hand drive?! On a serious note does it have the red or orange Meteor?
It is the more common orange.
Quoted from RustyLizard:It is the more common orange.
Quoted from gdonovan:Cabinet actually looks nice on that one!
The side that wasn't by the large window, yes.
Quoted from sunnRAT:Looks like that FG is in good hands now. A Top 3 Bally IMO.
Thanks. Got it playing with an Altek board. There are issues of course. Original MPU is toast. Guy claims he owned it for 30 years and looks it sat idle most of that time.
I was going to transfer the playfield into my other cabinet that someone else painted. This cabinet is so dang clean inside I may just sell my other game completely and stencil this one.
Quoted from chad:Fun game! Looks like a marred up coin door coin entrances...
Operator gutted it years ago so it wouldn't end up back on route.
Quoted from DCRand:Custom built pin trailer?
Nope, just a hitch rack. It's a little short.
Quoted from transprtr4u:that's going to get a good bouncing!
No more than if it was inside the vehicle.
Quoted from joetechbob:Neat. Is the right side open? Or how do you load in/out?
Here is a pic from the side. It has a ramp which I removed to gain the extra 4 inches of length needed.
Rack is rated for 500 pounds so no problem there.
I occasionally buy pins in Illinois and will never pull a trailer through a toll booth. I hate paying for 2 axles.
With this I can transport 3 pins and get over 20 MPG. Two in the back and one on the rack.
Quoted from northerndude:No fuckin' around. Even wrapped the outside of the box!!!
First leg of the trip was 2 hours in an open truck so distributor did that to protect it for me. It did well.
20211207_173356 (resized).jpgQuoted from ZooDude:Grand Lizard, Jungle Lord and Zilla, you've got taste but dang, two cup holders!? I don't get it. I'd understand an ashtray and a cup holder. Maybe you're super bad ass and can down two beers in one game, or water and beer? I'm stumped.
B
It is in a brewery and my business partner wanted that so games don't bump into each other. Sometimes you gotta pick your battles.
Quoted from ZooDude:Got it, business partners can be a blessing and a curse.
I was kinda hoping you'd be like "I'm from Wisconsin dammit, I drink two beers per game!"
My Mom grew up in Rhinelander and she's always pushing beers on me when I visit, even if it's 10 in the morning!
B
Beer is definitely part of our culture. My wife is known to double fist it more than I am. Usually Mike's, mixers or margaritas though. Unfortunately she doesn't play pinball. Good part of the double cup holders is that it seems to discourage people from standing between the games.
Quoted from shirkle:Amazing.
What happened to NGG’s head art?
Someone started restoring it and realized it had the wrong transformer.
Quoted from CoachBacca:Somebody help me out please. Creature from the Black Lagoon, ???, and Star Trek: The Next Generation, what is the middle pin, some type of alternate Tommy cabinet? Don't really think it matters that much what the middle pin is though with those other two that is one heck of a haul with just the other two.
Quoted from jellikit:I am sure it was well worth the frustration!
It was. Now hopefully the MpU will come back to life.
Quoted from RustyLizard:Dang colonial houses with nasty stairs. Had to pull the head.
